The Snark Bait isn't even as good as Black Clover. It's not even fun to make fun of Naruto at this point. This is just aggressively boring.
That's right, boys. Mondo cool.Naruto's okay, it's servicable. It's got some pretty decent conceptual ideas, it just struggles to execute them properly (the terrible pacing doesn't help with that). I mean, it's not got One Piece's chops, but it's also not Bleach, so there's that.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"@ Beary: It's really hard to predict trends. Series like Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece just happened to arrive at the right time (and have strong enough writing in the beginning) to ride that particular wave of the 2000s anime/manga boom.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarHonestly I should never have asked that question.
Naruto when it started was genuinely good, Hell it was my favorite series ever. I even wore a Leaf headband to school when I was a kid. Of course it got popular.
Its just its terrible ending along with Sasuke being the worst character ever just irreparably negatively colored my view on the series forever & that makes me fucking sad.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."@ Sigil: That, and he also goes off the deep end quite hard out of an extremely twisted sense of familial obligation that only makes sense from an Eastern perspective. Because of that, Sasuke just came across as hopelessly deranged.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarIn other news, I see Gramps has some moves. Not nearly enough to make me interested in this episode, but I thought it merited mention.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarIn fairness to Sasuke, there was a specific point where I said "he's the only one I can buy the actions of because he's supposed to be fucking crazy". I think it was when Naruto and Sakura were trying to get through to him at the Great Samurai Bridge, and I feel they cut him a lot of slack. Like, a lot. Naruto got annoyed when he got a burn notice put out on him even though Sasuke's actions were about to cause an international incident and he'd been gone and shacked up with in succession two of the Leaf's most hated enemies.
It helps that he doesn't actually manage to kill any innocents (though not for lack of trying, cough, Killer Bee, cough) but his actual attitude is still very grating.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"@ Beary: It was a pretty unmemorable episode, I have to say.
@ Sigil: Once Sasuke went neck-deep in the crazy, I was curious to how far Kishimoto was going to take it until he suddenly "mellowed out" (but not really) near the end. And yeah, the unfortunate result of Sasuke's handling was that Naruto himself ended up grabbing the Idiot Ball where his quote-unquote "best friend" was concerned. (Or, in one infamous moment, went into a full-blown Angst Coma when it was decided assassinating Sasuke would be the best course of action—and it was!)
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarSasuke's attitude is definitely what makes him annoying instead of tragic. He looks down on everyone and continues to look down on them even when they're trying to give him second chances, and he acts like he's too good for their compassion. He's a douche.
Now onto the adventures of Gene Joestar.
That's right, boys. Mondo cool. We're even on Space Egypt this episode!
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI just found out that Aisha was voiced by the the same actress who did Rogue from the 90's X-Men show

Also Melfina is singing the end theme of the series.

Looks like that cat thing is over with already.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!
