Aw. That was whole breakdown was the best part of Super Buu. It's a double shame because it's the same VA.

The Funi VAs who worked on both the original dub and Kai may claim that the latter is much closer to the original Japanese, and while that is true, it doesn't change the fact that, nostalgia or no, a lot of lines and exchanges were better the first go-round.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStar@ slim: Or at least not sticking to it so rigidly. There's a fine balance between staying true to the source material and taking liberties with it when necessary. Heck, Super does it all those added digs from Vegeta about Yamcha, so it's not like Funimation suddenly lost their mojo or anything.
Also, Woolseyism.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarWait, what? The second episode is filler?
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarAsta gets what's essentially the power of the Devil... and we immediately go straight to Filler Hell.
That is infuriatingly brilliant.

Do not obey in advance.

Piccolo... this is a catastrophically bad idea.
You're demonstrating the kind of keen strategic mind that Amanda Waller demonstrated in Film.Suicide Squad.
Do not obey in advance.
