Really wish Tobi kept the Sith-lord look after the reveal, he looked pretty damn cool here.
We've got a while, Beary. We're only at Episode 125. Naruto won't arrive to fight Pain until the end of Episode 162, and I'm pretty sure the Looney Tunes stuff doesn't start until five episodes after that. But the wait's going to be well worth it.
Well the Hunter Exam is explicitly something you participate in at your own risk. In fact, the whole point of the preliminaries is to weed out the hopeless cases before they get themselves killed. As for Gon, well, it's not like he's capable of stopping Hisoka, so taking advantage of the psychotic murderers actions is simply survival.
This isn't immediately clear and I don't want to say too much about it but Gon doesn't exactly have a straightforward conception of "right and wrong" the way most people would initially expect from the first few episodes, that's just one example.
Also it's not even just Hunter life (although yes it is), but life in general. The world of Hx H is pretty fucked up and perhaps more pertinently, keep in mind that the candidates they had at that point were supposed to be tougher and more hardened than the average person (see Hisoka, Hanzo, Killua, Gittarackur, etc). Most of the candidates with fainter hearts had probably been weeded out long before that.
It's Naruto Shippuden. Even if it was in a month from now, it would feel like forever watching it.
I probably won't be hanging around the forums during the marathon, so I'll see you guys in two weeks.
Later
Almost forgot about the One-Punch Manathon. I'll probably be turning it in soon, but I did discover something intriguing, courtesy of Yusuke Murata (the illustrator for the Jump version of OPM)'s Twitter account: Apparently, at least in the manga, Mosquito Girl managed to survive Saitama's punch.

Son Goku: Always a man of priorities.

"Yeah, that sounds about right."
Good ol' Goku.
I'd like to be the first man on the moon.Man, if they wanted to to at least scratch Cell, they should have gotten Toriko's human world military, which is like this
◊ that can make an explosion like this.

It must really suck to be the leader of Earth in Dragonball. At the best, you're completely ignorant of what goes on when the protagonists have to go out and fight. At worst, you get to know exactly how powerless everything you can do is against any of the threats that periodically rise up. And still have to make decisions like sendin out the military in spite of that, because you don't know who any of the protagonists are.

I have a message from another time...@ Enlong: I think that Kami exorcising Piccolo out of his body was a special case.
Mad props to General Pepper's cousin for referencing Goku's feats from the original series. He and the World Tournament Announcer are probably the only people outside of the Z-Fighters to acknowledge the original series' events, and the latter pretty much knows how fraudulent Hercule is.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarNow for the Sea King arc of One Punch Man, the first true arc of the series and the main turning point for the serie' overall story structure moving to arc based story lines.
