@ Maestro: Really? That makes it even better.
@ asia: The wiki itself sums it up better, but both include bits and pieces of previous episodes, usually to get viewers up to speed, though recaps usually tend to emphasize themes or character dynamics or whatnot whereas clip shows are mainly done because of budget constraints (so previous footage is regurgitated and spliced together to basically serve the same role as filler).

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987It's almost like the narrator was offering a rhetorical apology for tonight's content. Whole lotta sexy on Toonami tonight.
I'd like to be the first man on the moon.lol Jin
Also tangent about modern American culture segues into temple flashback.

Well, prepare for Naruto to ruin the sexy in about 5 minutes.
The philosophical lectures in this episode actually highlight how profound Champloo can be underneath all of the zany hijinks the protagonists face.
Trolled by Fuu. Those two didn't even see it coming.

Fortunately, I don't stick around for "filler hour." See y'all at Kill la Kill o'clock.

I'd like to be the first man on the moon.Don't worry. It's only temporary. This episode and three others go for alternate EDs.
One Piece actually ventured out of the Filler Zone last week, but I do not blame you where Shipudden is concerned.

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987At this point it's a struggle. The earthquake-tsunami problems didn't help at all.
