Spoilers for the anime but expect Esdeath's Time Freezing Ability, which by all rights should be the definitive Game-Breaker, to be overcome by bullshit.
I know she's (indefinitely) stuck in a coma here, but let's just add Mine to the kill count anyway. It's practically the same thing.
I've heard the writers reached so far up their asses for that one, their hands ended up coming out of their mouths.

I don't actually remember that guy's name, so I'm just gonna remember him as that.
So apparently, some things are going to happen in the last few episodes that are almost as BS as dying to a three percent chance to crit, which totally happened to me once when I was playing Fire Emblem: Awakening?
"A man should never let someone see him cry"? No joke, that's pretty toxic. O.O
Do not obey in advance.@ Great & Tsukkomi: Unfortunately, the idea of a Casual Mode never dawned on the creative force behind Akame ga Kill!
Disclaimer: The only three Fire Emblem games I've played are the ones for the GBA, and I have no idea if perma-death is a thing in the recent ones.
Three percent crit hits were totally a thing, though. And I died to the way too many times than I'd like to remember.

FYI, perma-death has been a staple of Fire Emblem from Day 1, as is mid-chapter bullshit that invariably requires you to restart the whole goddamn thing. It wasn't until Awakening and Fates (and New Mystery of the Emblem) that Intelligent Systems put in an optional Casual Mode where defeated units simply "retreat".
