They landed on a planet that just happened to have the technology to replace Tom's arm and revive Sara, who had a backup in a USB drive this whole time.
Said planet and technology may or may not be related to Tom 4 and his crew.

This signature used to support spoiler tags.Word of God: It will be a while before TOM and SARA find a new ship. It should take at least another year, which means we're going to have 2016 be the year of the "decrepit abandoned base" as well as of the "samurai". More new animation will role out in the next months.

Sweet ending.
At first I was like, "Wait, is this the desert planet from 2004!Toonami?"
Then I saw the abandoned base and I was like, "Wait, is that Moltar's lair?!" But then I realized that Moltar's lair was on a moon or something.
So now I'm back on the "returning to the desert planet of 2004" mindset.
And now I'm hoping that, if I am right and this is the same planet from 2004, we'll see some of the Clyde 53s (the helper bug robots).
Oh, that's right. One Piece marathon. Are any of the episodes new? The new bounties were only revealed a few weeks ago IIRC.
Dat Usopp falsetto.
@ kyun: I like Airman's suggestion, but thematically speaking, since the original ship was the Absolution and TOM and SARA are stranded on a desert planet for the time being, something like Purgatory or Limbo might be more apt. But again, Tatoonami works for me.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStar@ kyun: While limbo and purgatory have a lot of cognates across languages (purgatorio and limbus are especially common), skärselden (purgatory in Swedish) sounds pretty rad for a base IMO.
Toonami: Pre-Flight in two words: "So, yeah."

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarAnd now, back to your regularly-scheduled "Yes, They're Still on Namek: Abbreviated Flavor."
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarAlright Yo!!! It's back 2 business as usual!!!
@ slim: Kai is definitely better about the arc's pacing, for sure, but it feels more drawn out here because Toonami is only one episode per week now as opposed to five days a week in its heyday when the original DBZ aired.
@ Shiny: Yep, Samurai Champloo's premiere is at 1:30.
Guru be like, "Dragon, you know I'm just going to die of old age again, right?"

Damn a One Piece marathon now? I kinda wish December would end quickly so we get the regular stuff back.
