If Coby is the last fight, it's gonna be some sort of Distant Finale bit after Luffy becomes pirate king.
However, Shanks and Blackbeard are defintely guys to be fought in the near future. Of course, Coby could be fought earlier, if he's not the final boss.
I'm certain all 3 are going to be fought before it's over, though.
I have a message from another time...Blackbeard is pretty much confirmed the Big Bad in a few arcs' time. I also thought Coby was going to be the final opponent, but...yeah, go watch season 8 for more details (if you don't mind the Japanese version that is; the dub's not quite that far yet).

I spoiled myself on sword art online 2's last episode.
If you thought this episode was sad.....
Watch SymphogearI dont know why people assume with such certainty that Blackbeard is the Big Bad of One Piece. People keep on saying it, and I even saw that one person that said people understimate him. I dont think so. Sure it would be insanely irritating for some unexpected individual to be the Big Bad but still.
As long as this flower is in my heart. My Strength will flow without end.I may not know much about One Piece, but when I heard the name "Blackbeard" I automatically thought "Final Boss". I mean c'mon, it's Blackbeard.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheySorry kid, Vegeta gets a Karma Houdini License.
And know Frieza knows about Dende's Healing Hands. Nice Job Breaking It, Hero!'s.
Good riddance.
I always saw it as a really goofy homage to the Xenomorph Queen from Aliens.
Vegeta, Dende won't heal you because you're a jerk.

On the subject of Bleach, Everything But the Rain was the highlight of The Thousand-Year Blood War IMO. It reminded me of the golden days of Bleach, which is fitting considering Isshin, Masaki, and Ryuken were at the forefront for that segment.
While you can tell that Kubo had the final arc formulated well in advance unlike his usual writing style, it still suffers from many of the same pacing and character focus issues that have plagued Bleach ever since the Soul Society and Arrancar arcs. Plus, Yhwach is practically the second coming of Aizen. I honestly have no idea how Kubo can make even the sheer notion of defeating him believable barring some kind of backstabbing from Haschwalth and/or Uryu.
@ Enlong: I'd cast my lot with Shanks or Blackbeard long before I'd ever consider doing the same for Coby, but who knows what Oda has in mind.
