You know, as far as disappointing second seasons to great shows go, I've seen a lot worse.
Maybe I'm spared from disappointment in this season because I've only read sporadic chapters of the manga.

That's right, boys. Mondo cool. Its worse cause the manga writer Ishida wrote a ton of drafts that the anime team can use & they completely ignored him.
One of which had stuff like Tatara (white-haired guy with the red mask) forcing Kaneki to eat a human & basically seeing more of Kaneki doing Aogiri stuff in depth.
Its rude shit like that which very much sours my opinion.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."DTB season 2... That brings back memories. None of them pleasant.
That show is one of 3 stories that created a very specific writing rule of mine. Don't turn your likable protagonist into a drunk, dirty asshole.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Um...unique power.
@Roji Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice and DMC: Devil May Cry.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.Wait - she's how old?!
And I thought Lisa Lisa was Older Than She Looked.
I'd like to be the first man on the moon.Huh. This guy was all Ax-Crazy, before learning about her. Now he got all sane all of a sudden.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your grief@Lennik And we got some weird pedo we're supposed to sympathize with. And...just all kinds of other problematic stuff. And Batman wasn't the protagonist half the time.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.Made it just in time! (For HXH, I mean. Had to wade through the comments first, though.)
I see I missed the introduction of Benimaru Polnareff and more Jotaro dickishness. I know Beni's based on Polnareff, let me have this.
I envy your ability to forget. I wish I could. The first season of Darker Than Black is a fave of mine and I watched the second as it aired, after getting hyped a sequel was coming out at all. Then we got...that.
@Slim Yes. Season 1 is entirely worth the watch. It has a unique story structure too, with every episode being 2 partners beyond the finale. They tend to do Part 1 from the perspective of the spotlight character while the protagonist interacting with somehow or involved then Part 2 reveals what covert mission he's working on. Plus overarching plot.

Improving as an author, one video at a time.@ X 2 X: So! Crusaders get on plane. Stand user attacks, kills pilots. Crusaders kill the Stand user. Joseph emergency-lands the plane near Hong Kong. Can't use public transport anymore. Too risky. Crusaders get lunch in Honk Kong restaurant. Polnareff attacks. "Walk Like an Egyptian."
I didn't pay attention to Tokyo Ghoul, so I can't recap that.
I'd like to be the first man on the moon.I think season 1 is the show that sold me on how important perspective is for a story.
Oh yeah and I'm loving Hunter x Hunter tonight! Biscuit is so grand!
Gon, this is Goku levels of crazy!

Improving as an author, one video at a time.@ Maestro: Thank you kindly.
And no worries; I'll try to watch the episodes for myself at a later date.
Easy there, Bisky. Don't get too enthusiastic now.

Eh I'm not feeling it.
Prolly because of how out of focus Kaneki has been.
What is Hinami doing?
