I'm honestly not sure.
In the manga he didn't join & fought them himself cause their evil. I don't get his reasoning here.
Also he did fight the guy but the context is the guy's a member of Aogiri & Kaneki's not so their enemies.

No, I'm getting those vibes, too. If they both survive (and even if they don't), I wouldn't be surprised if Akira sees Amon in a different light afterward.
I knew it, completely anti-climactic due to the sheer lack of build-up & appearance of Kaneki.
Motherfucker & this was one of the most awesome parts of the manga.
Man fuck this shit.
I feel sorry for yawl anime-only watchers cause seriously while this is said a lot this was built-up way better in the manga,

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I dunno, it could be a Bodyguard Crush kind of thing with how Amon was protecting Akira.
Do not obey in advance. That's what I'm thinking, too. He likes her, tries her darnedest to protect her while she's injured, and maybe he wins her heart in the end?
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI know it's wishful thinking. This is Tokyo Ghoul we're talking about.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarThere goes Leorio, never to be seen again.
I'm joking, but I guessing he and Kurapika are going to have really limited screen time during the Greed Island arc.
