This fight alone makes the whole series for me. The long buildup to it since the first episode just made it that much more perfectly tragic.
One of the most fascinating things about it is the way Kaneki's voice changes from sobbing and high-pitched to deadly cold when he says "Anyone who tries to take them from me will get no mercy." Austin Tindle should change his name to Awesome Tindle.
I love this episode so much.

That's right, boys. Mondo cool. Its like Stuido Pierrot were trying to avoid a Naruto by adding filler, but they ended up trimming too much.
Then they made Root A, and we'll be seeing it starting next week, and, well....

Watch SymphogearI'm not looking forward to season two.
Good thing it's not canon.
Is there a specific trope for when an adaptation diverges from the source material and takes a nosedive in quality? I'm remembering a bunch of different tropes, but I feel like I'm not narrowing it down.
Now this sounds juicy. Do you have specifics?

Do not obey in advance.@Beary: I believe that was known as Adaptation Decay back in the day.
