Well that's the anime's fault then.
Also I do not recall an anime that focuses & gives this much development to its antagonists.
As well as the issue with Root A involves horrid pacing & completely diverging from the manga only to ease back into nearly the same ending making one wonder why they chose to change so much in the first place.
Can someone give explain in better detail why it was so bad?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."@X: Well we have survived worse. Root A won't be too horrible.

I read that part of the manga, and they go into a lot more detail. I don't know if the actual torture itself is gratuitous but The part where Jason tells Kaneki to choose who he kills, a mother or her child, then kills both of them because he gets annoyed with Kaneki's indecisiveness and the gay guy he hangs out with telling him that's messed up even for him pushed things a wee bit too far, maybe.

... I'll go get the hammer and nails.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarSee, various revenge seekers who are assholes? You can seek vengeance and be a nice person to anybody outside of the vengeance!
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Big L, SHOWTIME!
Getting some Cowboy Bebop vibes from the OP. And that's hardly a bad thing.
Pretty funky intro.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarThe real opening is so much better, with the actual Lupin song.
Improving as an author, one video at a time. Now why do I have a feeling Rebecca might become a willing participant in Lupin's heists?
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarHmm... How best to respond to that. There's so much fun to come of her.
Oh and this series alternates between episodic entries, including character spotlights outside of Lupin, and serial episodes.

Improving as an author, one video at a time. With Lupin, it's really hard to tell, to say nothing of his ongoing "dalliance" with Fujiko.

I haven't read that part of the manga, so I don't know the difference between how it's handled there versus how it's handled in the anime.
That's right, boys. Mondo cool.
