So the bagpipes are magical, too? Niiiiiice~
(Read that in Joseph Joestar's voice for maximum effect.)
And with it, Ashi is now (fully) She-Venom.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarAs far as Jack's concerned, or Ashi?
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarOh, dang it. I was just talking about this with my family... It's Gurren Lagann all over again!
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarJack and Ashi are Simon and Nia confirmed.
And wait, does this mean that the Bad Future still exists a la Ocarina of Time or has it been completely wiped out?

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarAshi, no.
I expect this ending to be controversial.

Do not obey in advance. That was certainly bittersweet. Jack achieved his goal, and dunked on Aku proper. But no more Ashi. And there's all the people he helped. They may not exist, or they will, but in a Good Future.
Also would Jack still be ageless? Or did going back in time reverse that little "bonus"?
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefUm ... didn't Jack just undo the existences of way more people than Aku has ever killed throughout history?
This is the flaw inherent in time travel narratives. Because of the Butterfly Effect, if you go back and change the past, all of existence has to be reset to accommodate the new reality you've created.

That's right, boys. Mondo cool.@ Beary: Oh, I wholly expect it to be controversial. Cue endless debates on, much like Nia, if Ashi living would've been too cliched or if her death is poignant and makes the ending quote-unquote "deep" and "mature."
That was a nice recap of the series, by the way.
@ Lennik: Like I said above, depends on if alternate timelines are treated like DBZ and OoT.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI... I honestly didn't expect him to get back to the past.
Well. Wow. Dang.
Whatever anyone else says about this ending, that final shot of the sun rising on the cherry grove is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in a cartoon.
I'd like to be the first man on the moon.

HE SAID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
