"The Char Aznable I knew was a man who believed in human possibility!"
To be fair to Audrey, this was before he decided to drop Axis on Earth, largely as part of a final "fuck you" to Amuro.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarRevenge against the Zabi family and the liberation of the Spacenoids, but Lalah's death in MSG still heavily affected him, so he ended up going back on his grand speech in Zeta and leading Neo Zeon in CCA.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI really have to finish Origin's, to me his grand plan just seems to be basically revenge for what happened to his family.
I think I'm half-way done, currently in his flashback at the battle of the Moon where he teams up with the three Dom pilots.
Started the trend of extraordinarily powerful New-Type women who use psychic powers to make the main protags fall in love with them & then die near the end right?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."More or less, though Lalah only seemed powerful because this was back in the day when the number of newtypes could be counted on one hand and before everyone and his sister turned out to be newtypes or cyber newtypes or artificial newtypes.
@ slim: Yep. Origins (and the original series itself for that matter) makes it pretty clear Char's motivated by revenge, but the idea is also offered (or at least implied) by Degwin Zabi that Gihren embodies a lot of the traits that Deikun was known for, allowing him to win over his loyalists for the Zeon movement — possibly including Char. It's very ambiguous, especially when you take Char's "friendship" with Garma into consideration.
As for Newtypes, their romances tend to strike many as Strangled by the Red String affairs ("justified" by their psychic connections), though some are better than others. Kamile/Four in Zeta was criticized more than Amuro/Lalah IIRC.
Karin wearing her hair up looks good. It's like she and Machi swaps looks for the night.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarTo think Sasuke is just let free at the end of the series even if in the anime he got some jail-time.
He is helping a terrorist organization & even captured soldiers, who cares if he turned on them near the end.
As well as his crimes would then be white-washed to his daughter, yeesh.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."You can also substitute "fangirls" with "Sakura" and "Karin."
Speaking of things no one understands, how did Choji end up with Karui?

Apparently due to a pun one place I heard. Their names can combine to mean fat & skinny or something like that.
See Sasuke just killed that guy. Seriously A you should have went to war to with the Leaf over this.
Fuck peace & preventing the cycle of revenge, scum shouldn't be allowed to live.
I don't think they ever interacted.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."JITENSHA! [x5]
KOI DE! [x4]
Don't get me wrong, I like this song, but it feels so weird being used as the ED for this arc.

Weird. If you're going to pull the Toriyama-style puns, at least have them be like Gohan and Videl.
I believe slim is right; I can't recall them ever being in the same general area (outside of the Fourth Shinobi World War), let alone speaking to one another.
Agreed. Till next time, fellow Toonami faithful.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI'm surprised that you guys didn't mention 00 gundam as a stand by for IBO S2 to get dubbed. I feel it would click with a lot of people who liked Wing as a kid, and the animation is decent enough despite being over 10 years old.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!Eh, Nina Trinity would piss off too many people and it would probably result in a severe backlash to the series.
Watch Symphogear@ Gunheart: No, it's not just you. The scenes set on Earth are, on average, a bit more plodding than the adventures in space.
@ Alpha: (raises hand)
Despite the fandom's contention with Nena (which, while significant, I don't think is as bad as Demongod states), 00 is a better alternative to SEED IMO, and the moral grayness of Celestial Being's actions during S1 made for some compelling storylines. Granted, S2 went through some Seasonal Rot, but overall I think it's a good Gundam series.
Is the Walrus voiced by Zoidberg?

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarThe Walrus guy gave me a Wally Walrus vibe, accent and all.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your grief

I'd also be down for G Gundam!
