That's good, though I know a lot of fans didn't like the ending for... plot reasons. Don't want to spoil things.
Ok, everyone. See you in a week. Happy Easter.
It probably does not help that, as I understand, Gundam Unicorn is basically an animated Highlight Reel of a novel series that apparently makes a lot of edits for time. The whole Pinball Protagonist angle and the way has this whole Federation conspiracy angle when the screentime for said conspiracy outside some nebulous partnership with the Vist Foundation has been negligible at best is not helping me follow.

Yeah, there's a lot of character stuff that the OVA/series adaptation doesn't really delve into beyond vague allusions, especially in regards to Marida. Which, I understand why the show doesn't/can't give much in the way of details, but that just further highlights that Unicorn doesn't translate well to a visual medium.
Setting aside the whole Ple 12 & hatred of Gundams thing, which requires UC knowledge (tl;dr Cloning Blues) her backstory as told by by the show's weird visuals would have you believe she was just living on the streets until Zinnerman adopted her... except for a throwaway line or two about scars, burns, lacerations across her body and damage to her reproductive system when she was initially captured and brought aboard the Nahel Argama. After the First Neo Zeon War, when Marida was still a young child, she was sold into sex slavery and was forced to undergo countless abortions. That's what the damage all over her body and to her reproductive system is from. That's what Zimmerman rescued her from and why she has such undying loyalty towards him.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyHonestly, Marida's probably one of the easier to follow characters.
One of my biggest issues are things like, any connection Mineva has with anyone since she has such little screen time to interact with them (I think by this point Banahger's had more scenes with Zinnerman). Or Ridhhe as a whole; on paper he makes sense, he's basically a runaway prince who wants to think of Mineva as a kindred spirit, but it feels like he has so little screen time or interaction with anyone it's hard for me to really feel much for his character arc of resenting Banahger and turning to the dark side, as it were (and it's kinda eyebrow raising how he basically desserts his post and steals a low-level Gundam in a pitched battle with no repercussions whatsoever. I know he's from an influential family and all, but I don't think they even brought that up).
There's the Shambloo incident, where you're supposed to feel for a character who got maybe two short scenes total before the event (and yes, I know the whole sequence was much different in the novel). The way the number of civilian casualties at Industrial Seven are swept under the rug and their killers come out played almost squeaky clean, somehow (why did Marida even park her suit inside the colony, again?).
The Unicorn gets pulled into Earth's atmosphere and was somehow rescued off screen while Full Frontal just made an Unexplained Recovery. There's suddenly a black Federation warship that I don't recall ever exiting before now in this show and served only to provide a Big Damn Villains moment. There's some sorta conspiracy in the Federation but the Anaheim Electronics jerks are the only face they've been given so the attempt at Grey-and-Grey Morality falls a bit flat since I can't even tell who the sides are even supposed to be anymore.
I'm honestly really disappointed since, for the first few episodes until the rematch between the Unicorn and Sinanju, I was utterly hyped for each episode. But after the fall to Earth it felt like it took a sudden nosedive in quality and cohesion.
Complete with original series flashbacks, no less.
And it looks like Scaramouche survived as well. Interesting to see how things will play out now that he's only a head.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI'm pretty sure that was the same port city from "The Scotsman Saves Jack," too.
I'd like to be the first man on the moon."Looks like a talking penis."
Yo! It's the girl from the rave episode!

Watch SymphogearAnd we're raving again. Everything's come full circle.
Also, the DJ in the original series for those who don't recognize her.

Another thing: When I first learned about You Tube around I think in the 5th grade I watched the original Gundam, Zeta & I think half of ZZ because I couldn't find any more English Dub episodes at a certain point so I stopped watching it.
Was I too young to watch this shit? Because now that I recall I did not comprehend the ending of Zeta very well cause like I didn't even realize Kamille was rendered brain-dead at the end of the show.
I'd still take the ending of Zeta compared to Orphans cause at least the big bad Scirocco died in it.
But this is best discussed at another time so later yawl, it was an awesome viewing tongiht.
