Have fun, slim.
SAC can be pretty cerebral at times, but there's a good amount of action and some humor in-between the philosophy and existentialism. All you really need to know is that, as the names imply, the "Stand Alone" episodes are, well, standalone episodes (mainly there for the purpose of fleshing out characters/backstory elements and providing exposition), whereas the "Complex" episodes are the first season's Story Arc. 2nd Gig is harder to follow due to the breakdown of the episodes (as explained here), but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarAnytime.
Oh, I also forgot to mention that politics and political subterfuge are rather prominent throughout SAC, but you probably noticed this by now.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI couldn't help but notice that this thread usually explodes to life on Saturdays.
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered! The Joystation is based on the PS 1, which was released in 1994. Audio cassettes were still pretty common at the time. The CD Walkman premiered in 1984, but I recall books on audio cassette as recently as 1992.
Telling us the post number from three pages back doesn't help, if you actually quote the text, or link to the post, then people have the context of the conversation.
If you don't know quote markup it's this (minus the *): [[quoteblock]] insert text here [[*/quoteblock]]

Just copy and paste the address of the page in question, then add a "#" and the message number (the number in superscript to the left of your TV Tropes handle) to the end of the url.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarYeah, we're doomed.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI like the flashback with King Vegeta. I like seeing Vegeta angry over how Beerus treated his dad.
I recently learned that a Fan Translation for a DB game on the NES somehow rendered Vegeta's name as... Beki.

One Piece does the heartwarming stuff very well.
Later yawl but I'm staying behind cause I never saw Ghost in the Shell aside from a few episodes.
