I liked Case Closed a little bit, but I knew how long it was, which made me fear that it would fall into Strictly Formula. But considering how it's still running to this day, maybe not. Either way, I can see how a distributor would be intimidated by the series' length.

Maybe it's Bigger on the Inside and he spends most of his time in his basement?

I'd like to be the first man on the moon.@ slim: Not that I can think of. The closest thing out there now (premise-wise) would be Justice League Action, and even then, it doesn't have the same focus on a strong narrative that Samurai Jack did nor are the fight scenes nearly as impressive (IMO).
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarFunny how Sean Schemmel is doing more yelling as King Kai than as Goku so far.
I'd like to be the first man on the moon.@ slim: Oh, definitely. I wasn't trying to knock JLA at all. What I've seen of it so far is promising.
It's help if you go in with the mindset of Action doing its own thing as opposed to trying to match it up against the original Justice League.
Maybe Season 3 of Young Justice will help fill the void, but even that show was rather cerebral in how it carried itself.
Meta moment in 3... 2... 1...
Such a great line.
I have to wonder if there's any anime series that could placate Beerus's wrath.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarAs Dragon Ball villains go, Beerus is a nice change of pace. I love how laid-back he is about everything.
I'd like to be the first man on the moon.WAVES AND ROCKS~

In more ways than one apparently.
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite.Ah, Roshi. Don't ever change.
...actually, maybe it'd be better if you did change.
I'd like to be the first man on the moon.Considering that 18's hair can't naturally grow back (as evidenced by her haircut in GT and her future counterpart's angry reaction to Trunks slicing off a few strands in History of Trunks), were the three hours she spent on it really necessary?
Ridiculously Unphotogenic Big Green Piccolo.
@ Beary: Agreed.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarYell at him. A lot.
I never really thought about how King Kai is still, well, dead. It is kinda weird how they've never brought him back. I think they're just looking for an excuse to have a Running Gag.
Wait... Are some of Great Saiyaman's poses poking fun at Sailor Moon?

Do not obey in advance.

I mostly agree with you. I say mostly because there still are a handful of good cartoons out there at present, if not belonging to the same genre as Samurai Jack.
More importantly, I just hope that the continuation will be able to able to live up to the standard set by the original episodes. Granted, I have faith in Genndy, and his last work was solid, if not criminally cut short.
