...I was so tempted to go with Crabmon for Fear as a Shout-Out to Rampage from Beast Wars, but figured it was too much of a stretch...
Excited about this game.
Does this mean the previous RP is canon for this one, BTW? Or is she a parallel version?

It was interesting trying to come up with an OC who would work as a villainous Digidestined deal. Sucks that most my entire original idea had to be scrapped though xD; This Bug-themed Pride just doesn't quite have the impact I want it to...
Need to make the crest woops. There's a canon Pride crest but it's not a Kid-Crest and it's not quite what I want, even though it looks similar XD
"I tawt I thaw a putty tat!"Och, it's too bad there isn't an Ultimate that looks like a humanoid bug - the only one is Stingmon and he's a Champion.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.I considered him, but no. Too lizard-like, does not look enough like a human. Anyway, I'm content with the line I came up with.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Heh, that might actually work... But I think I'll stick to Ryudamon.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home....Probably for the best, given we already have one line of bugs.
...Though there is GrandisKuwagamon
for a Mega, so there's a line of virus-type humanoid insects starting at Stingmon if you need it for another Digimon RP.
JewelBeemon
is also a humanoid insect ultimate, but it's Vaccine.
JewelBeeMon is godawfully ugly IMO.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Yes. I'm a snobbish, picky, tea-drinking Israeli teen.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home. So, anyway, Digivolution details and stuff.
DNA
Obviously, this is when two Digimon merge to reach the next level. The fusion generally takes elements from both fused monsters, and is stronger than other Digimon of equal rank.- Both digimon need to be of the same level (Champion, etc)
- While the boost in power is great, the time spent in DNA form is much more limited than a natural form.
- The Digidestined/Tamers/Term of Choice Initiating the DNA Digivolution need to have a similar goal in mind when first activating it.
- Obviously, two players who choose to DNA will need to discuss with each other what the fused Digimon will be (if there are multiple choices). If there isn't, make one up if you feel the need. Might also be a good idea to decide who gets to control the Digimon.
Shift
Shift digivolution is unique in that it allows a Digimon to switch between possible evolution paths. For example, a Greymon may become a Geogreymon or Meramon. This allows the possibility of adapting to a form better suited for an opponent, but repeated shift evolutions put more and more strain on the Digimon, weakening them.- Up to three forms total can be taken. This includes the default evolution path.
- It is recommended you choose forms suited for power, speed or defence to balance things out, but the choice is ultimately up to you. Might also be limited by the options at hand.
- As stated before, repeated changing strains the Digimon and weakens them, so strategies revolving around Paradigm shifting in lengthy battles will be dangerous.
That's the general idea behind these evolutions, at least. Originally the idea was that each side gets one option, but it seems things would make sense if everyone could eventually achieve both methods. Thoughts? Suggestions?
Well, Friedrich would probably be unable to DNA Digivolve, with Uzma being a loner and all, so I'll stick with Slide Digivolution.
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home....Um.
It's been brought to my attention that this thread is bringing some... discontent in the other Digimon thread. Claims that this is a rip-off or a re-tool and all that.
Let me make this clear: I had this story idea years ago. It may have started as a fanfic, but just about everything important is exactly the same. f there are similarities, I am not aware - the only time I looked into Waltz was to see who was available. The Digimon I wanted was taken so I left. I don't even remember what the plot was.
I know a few people here are also in Waltz. Feel free to pass along the message. I didn't rip off the other thread, I have no intention too, and it is not supposed to be some sort of remake either. This was simply an idea adapted to RP format on a whim.
/vent.
As the person apparently currently in charge of the other RP (for now), I just want to say that I don't want to start any RP wars. I wouldn't have blamed you for knocking off a near-dead RP anyway, the fact that you weren't is... reassuring I guess? I'm too tired to really care.
Anyway, it looks like you might be taking a different stylistic direction. My setting is very Sci-Fi in it's inner workings, and this looks more like the Fantasy that Digimon usually seems to be despite being nominally based on technology. It'll be interesting to see how the two diverge from one another.
So, basically, I hope we can be friends.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Don't worry about it, as long as all misunderstandings are cleared up. I should have explained in the other thread once I was made aware, really.
I don't intend to copy anything in your thread, and I certainly don't want any wars. Thanks for understanding.
Now then, map!
Let's call it Bixel or something.
◊
Red: Seraphimon's Base
Not-so-messy-orange: Cherubimon's Lair Goddamn I need to pay more attention to colours used
Light green: Empty plains or towns, whatever seems convenient.
Messy orange: Annoying=to=traverse-canyons
Light blue: Inexplicable Sky Area/Bottomless Pit place.
Dark blue: Sea of Digital Water.
Yellow: Annoying Desert No One Likes
Dark Green: Viridian Forest.
So... any ideas for locations/terrain? Alternate placements? A map with equally sized squares?

We need to name these places. :P
How about the Torrent Sea, for starters?
...Also, you never did answer my questions. :P
Also, I think we should have plains, abandoned towns, and non-abandoned towns. An abandoned industria area is a good place to fight.
...Also, the bases need names. Might I suggest that one of them be The Keep?
We should probably have a tundra somewhere. And maybe one area that's all like one giant machine?
