If I die relatively youngish, I'd hope the people who know me remember me in a mostly positive way. Not as some kind of major life-changer or someone with a huge impact, but that I was a decent person and am miss-able.
If I die at an old age and most of the people I know are gone or we've lost contact, it'll probably be something along the lines of "Oh, the Crazy Cat Lady down the street died? That's a shame. Hope somebody can take in all those cats."
Stupid doomed timeline...Those who know me personally will be deeply saddened by my death, or at least I'd like to think they would. Those who don't... it's probably more like a "Oh, that's too bad. Let's have a moment of silence" and then promptly forget about it 10 minutes later. If I actually succeed in life doing what I want, then people in the CS community would probably be pretty sad, as well.
The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. And also spiders.Hopefully: "Citizens cry as the king's body is taken through the streets of every major city in his 150 car funeral. As per Order 0, his child will now take the throne as soon as his body is vaporised via a ICBM."
Realistically: "Who the fuck is this douchebag?"

But they seem to know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.

No one's going to think of me once I'm dead and gone.
