Oh yeah, that happened, didn't it? Somehow I missed it, I must have blinked or something.

It was less 'fought', more 'attacked'.

I'm not convinced that Beerus actually noticed him. He might just been swinging Boo around and hit Gohan by accident.

@Tobias He kind of jobs a lot in Piccolo's clothes, too. Movie 9 was probably his best showing, Goku's clothes there.

True. My joke was mainly about how Piccolo's outfit was what he wore when he became the main character, taking the torch from Goku, while Goku's outfit was what he wore when he gave back the torch and promptly f*cked off to never do anything important again.

I like the idea that Gohan's wearing Piccolo's clothes again because he, like a decent chunk of the fanbase, wants that f*cking torch back. tongue

As I've said before, I like the idea that the Tuffles represent a 1. They invented the scouter, and were significantly smaller than regular humans plus pretty weak.

The Tuffles were smaller than regular Humans? All this time, I just assumed ancient Saiyans were just huge, and evolved to become smaller.

Well damn, since Saiga somehow manages to be right about everything, I guess that's the end of that.

That's actually possible, but it would be a little weird. The size difference was made to emphasis the brute vs intellectual dynamic of the Saiyans and Tuffles, and it'd throw that off a bit if the Tuffles were actually equal in size to modern Saiyans.

Especially when no such evolution was noted in the Saiyans. It'd still be workable since they have a giant ape form, and primitive Saiyans could have been closer to that form, but I just like the idea of Tuffles being smaller more.

Baby may have started out small but he did come to a full human size before possessing Goten. But he's a special case either way due to being a machine mutant as well as a Tuffle.

Weren't the Tuffles filler anyway?

I wonder, do y'all think the story being presented in DBH currently might come up in Xenoverse 2?

Dimps has developed both games, and they seem to be adding a lot of story in DBH despite it not really have a story before the God Missions. It seems to be a semi-continuation of not just Xenoverse, but also Online.

That would work out for making a new story mode.

The Tuffles themselves are filler but Toriyama did say, in a semi-recent interview, that the species that had the planet before the Saiyans invented the Scouter. He did specify the species but, while the name does start with a T, he did not, in any way, say Tuffle. The basic story is canon but the Tuffles aren't.

I can't stand people who try to defend Kenji Yamamoto. I don't care if he made the music sound better than the original or that Kai's score sounded inferior without him. He was a plagiarist, plain and simple, and I am glad Toei fired him when they found out.

I heard that Ginyu's original body (the one we never seen before) is the same race as Jeice and Salza.

Anyone got a source for this and do ya think Original Ginyu might make a good character in a game?

That's always been Fanon to my knowledge. Often though up do to Jeice being The Dragon to Ginyu and nothing else.

I never got that impression; they didn't seem particularly close while Recoome, Burter, and Guldo were still alive and Jeice was to only one left after that point so I have no idea where people got the impression the Jeice was the second-in-command.

Then it make even less sense to have that particular Fanon.

HamburgerTime Since: Apr, 2010

I didn't really get a second-in-command vibe from any of them, but Recoome was supposedly the second-strongest.

LSBK Since: Sep, 2014

No, Recoome, Jeice, and Burter were all about equal in strength.

Jeice being second-in-command probably comes from their theme song in which he calls himself "The Ginyu Force's number 2 man" or something along those lines.

I'm pretty sure the theme song is working off that misconception also.

It's Asskicking Equals Authority as interpreted through the Sorting Algorithm of Evil. People assume Jeice was the second-in-command because the kicking of his ass came immediately before the Captain's. Logic is:

  • He's defeated right before the Captain, therefore he's the second-most powerful member of the group.
  • He's the second-most powerful member of the group, therefore he's the second-in-command.

Both of these rely on a lot of assumptions.
