Planetary overseers seem to be fairly low on the pecking order as far as the universe created by Toriyama is concerned. As for Shenron or Porunga, they seem to be spiritual beings anyway who just happened to be channeled through the dragonballs, so it would make sense that they'd know the goings-on of the Gods and whatnot.
I figure that it's just the style of the wiki, especially given how old it is, so it's stuck, and no one bothered to comment on how odd it is.

It does seem strange. I can only assume that knowledge of such things doesn't not exceed the power of his creator.
Oh. Here's a funny thought:
Piccolo can be revived by Earth's Dragon balls, since they've never been used to bring him back.
It was a moot point back when Kami was around (since the death of either of them meant the other died too, so the .....balls became inert(
), but since Dende is now Guardian of earth, they can be used on him I think.

One Strip! One Strip!Basically, comparing Super to Bo G...
What I prefer in Super so far: Pretty much everything that happened in Episode 6, and the fight between Vegeta and Beerus in this episode. Also, no Trunks/Mai.
What I prefer in Bo G: The 'My Bulma' scene, the 'everyone vs Beerus' segment', original Goku vs Beerus, and that scene where Mai threatens to shoot Trunks and everyone's immediate reaction is to start laughing. Oh, and tipsy Bulma.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!that's actually something that i've been wondering myself.
saiga has mentioned before how the idea of a canon doesn't really exist in japanese text regarding dragon ball, but how does that apply to stuff like the movies? do people think they happened or didn't happen within the anime? if they do isn't that basically the same idea regardless?
I dunno how or why, but this trading card gives Grandma Chi-Chi a power level of 1000000.

Last Page: You know, ever since the huge mishandling Toei did with Saint Seiya and the CG movie I can't help but wonder WTF are they doing every time I learn something new about how they are handling their properties.

"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Toei has very little in the way of respect for its properties. It's always been this way, it's a corporation, and like quite a few other Japanese corporations, Toei does not know how to business.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariAnd Pretty Cure doesn't have a built-in audience?
Cause they seem to be putting all the money into that. I'm not complaining mind you, cause it looks gorgeous, but still, how 'bout some respect to one of their oldest series?
I mean, I get that they are a business and they're about money, and I'm no Entrepeneur or anything, but I'd think that they'd know that the best way to make money to is not only care about making money. As in, give the audience something worth looking at, and show them you actually care, and they will pay you back by investing in your product.
Give a little to get a little.
If I'm full of shit here, then I give all of you permission to tell me to shut my mouth.

One Strip! One Strip!Actually, from what I hear, Pretty Cure gets screwed by Toei just as much for reasons just as petty. Thing is, the people working on it seem to care a whole lot more than the people working on DBS.
Japan does not have a reputation for having non-sucky corporate structure, to say the least. While it's true that this is much more obvious in the gaming industry, it does affect publishers of other kinds as well.

So I know we've debated "canon" for DB over and over again and what it is and whether it even exists, but I have to say even by those standards the DB Wiki's policy on the subject is strange. They treat everything as equal footing, basically. Each movie has a paragraph in its article trying to work it into the manga's timeline, for instance. Some of them source it to the Daizenshuus, though, so that could be the original source for the complication for all I know.
