That made me laugh harder than it should have.

I'm now imagining them fusing just to reach an object, even though it only gives them a few more inches of hair.

Actually, I didn't even think about the hilarity of that joke even further, but considering they can FLY that'd be even lazier of them to fuse.

Stream. They generally post the links on the dbz subreddit.

Obviously, it's all in Japanese, but it's not too hard to figure out what's going on.

@LO Lypop They did about as well as in the movie, so it's not that big a deal.

At least Gotenks lasted longer.

[up][up] Speaking of that massacre, why did they making a point of making sure Majin Vegeta's victims were revived twice? If they were re-killed by Buu, surely they'd just be revived with an "All the victims of Buu" wish, no?

By the way, "My Bulma" was trending on the Japanese twitter.

What if: the Potara Earrings didn't exist and, instead, Goku was coming to help Gohan and fuse the Metamorese way and, once Gotenks defused inside Buu, Buu absorbed Goku and the final battle was between Gohan and, an only slightly stronger, Buuku with Gohan barely winning due to skill? I prefer the way it happened as I actually agree with Toriyama that Gohan is no protagonist, but this scenario could be a cool alternate universe just to shut up the Gohan fans.

[up][up][up] Because the first wish was made on Earth's Dragon Balls, and would miss anyone who had died before that point, say in Cell's attack.

That or Vegeta just didn't know about the first wish. Either way his decision was still correct.

Technically, Bulma was only slapped at the end of this episode, so the title is misleading. :P

That said, Buu had a much better showing than in the movie, but boy, Gohan was blown aside again in one hit. Also Beerus not even laying a hand on 18, Piccolo, and Tien; he just hit with his aura, and all three of them were more or less paralyzed. Well, Tien and 18 anyway, because Dende healed Piccolo quickly.

And yes, Beerus continues being a jerkass in Super. The slap he gave to Bulma in particular seemed outwardly malicious, while in the movie he swatted her aside without a thought.

[up][up] I don't follow; why would it make a difference whose Balls were used?

Earth's Dragon Balls don't revive anyone twice, even after Dende's upgrade. If any of Cell's victims attended the World Tournament, they wouldn't be covered by Bulma's wish.

...you know, that city Nappa blew up never got wished back, I don't think.

No, it didn't, because they JUST wished Goku back to life and you can't revive large masses of people that died more than a year ago.

So they'd have to collect all the Dragon Balls and make the wish between the points where the balls reactivated and the time limit expired. Which were almost simultaneous.

#23770: Aug 22nd 2015 at 11:49:32 PM

Then why didn't they phrase the wish "All the victims of the Saiyans?" That'd cover Goku too.

EDIT: Except he was technically killed by Piccolo.

1) Goku wasn't killed by a Saiyan

2) Goku was the only one killed at that point

Like I said, they made the wish, and THEN Nappa nukes a city. They didn't know that was going to happen.

Yeah, I kind of like that scene for being one of the few times they screw themselves out using the Dragon Balls. The way they planned to use the wish means they couldn't have had it available for the aftermath of the Saiyans' attack even if Piccolo survived.

Depends on what you're looking for. None of them are great, but Bojack Unbound and Wrath of the Dragon are pretty good. Wrath of the Dragon is the only one that feels like an actual movie compared to the others. The two TV specials are a bit better, watch those (Bardock The Father of Goku and History of Trunks).

Unless you're wondering for continuity purposes in which case none of them matter for understanding the manga and Battle of Gods / Resurrection F are likely to be the only ones brought up in any new material (although with Super it's unlikely that those will be necessary).
