I remember when Online came out, "Yes! GT is no longer canon!"
When Battle of Gods came out, "Huh, so Online's no longer canon. Well, as long as GT is less canon."
When Super was announced, "Well, GT's still less canon!"
Xenoverse might as well be canon at this point, it opens up a lot of narrative possibilities and Super more-or-less seems to be headed in that direction.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Yes, the presence of a halo when we see Kaio-sama in the Super manga does confuse things a rather lot.
EDIT: Wait, I just checked and he still has the halo in the Buu arc in the manga. So either the line that said he was revived was erroneously translated in the version I checked or this consistency error predates Super.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Actually, the anime is the "canon" one this time, since Toriyama is the one working on it. The manga is simply an adaptation of the anime being made by the guy who did the manga tie-in for Resurrection "F", the Dragon Ball Heroes manga, and the Dragon Ball AF doujinshi he was working on.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!I'm canon, and I have a cannon, meaning I'm actually Armed with cannon.
Can anyone beat that?
Edit: My bad, Forgot the second n in Cannon.

One Strip! One Strip!Wait, if you weren't referring to the brand of camera then what were you referring to?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! The kind that fires a large flaming ball of metal that murders the hell of out everything.
I fixed the original post..... though I'll still chase Unnoun with a camera.
One Strip! One Strip! They are when one's pointed directly at your face.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Well, since it's not being spoilered anymore, I'll just make three points.
1. Superman's power was never infinite, not even pre crisis dick Superman. He was still no match for Darkseid(since the point of pre Crisis Darkseid was that the whole universe would have to come together to beat him)
2. A lot of Superman's feats don't make sense. Nearly from a nuke but being able to skirt an even horizon? And sometimes they are inconsistent. Can't go faster than light, can't break physics. Goes faster than light, fuck physics. Need's space suit. Oxygen if for pussies, space makes him stronger.
3. If you pick and choose from a select enough body of works you can paint a picture of Superman that makes enough sense, that is consistent enough. (Death Of Superman Superman, Justice League International Superman, Final Crisis Superman, ect)
My question continues to be why people are so high on Death Battle, as opposed anyone else making a case for Who Would Win? Wizard Magazine came to the conclusion Goku would win. I don't remember ever seeing it come up on a thread except on a website dedicated to that kind of thing. If you want to discuss that, fine. But I think we can discuss it without death battle. Edit:Never mind, we use the wizard picture for our own page.
As for Dragon Ball Online, well not really. KI use is much more common in the age 1000 thanks to Gohan, but everyone hasn't become the physical gods that were the Dragon Ball fighters because of it. Bikes and buses are still how most people get around. Most people haven't masted instant transmission. A good deal of the techniques your player character picks up are still obtained through guides(capsules) or trainers and as I pointed out earlier, the average time patrolman is still over five times weaker than Freeza at his weakest. They can handle the remnants of Freeza's army, the player characters with enough exp, Trunks and the class masters can obviously stop a couple androids but the general populace haven't become equals to the Dragon Ball fighters.

Buldogue's lawyerReal quick, because I don't want to contribute more than I have to with bogging the thread with Death Battle talk.
The answer is because of 2 things. 1, they claim(claim, so don't push this point because they have been wrong a few times) to have thoroughly researched all canon material relating to the combatants before a Death Battle. And 2, They can play out the fights in animations.
Because its Rule of Cool and people should just leave it alone.
But I can't really expect much from a domain that treats almost everything as Serious Business.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Guys guys don't worry I just checked the manga, and King Kai stays dead to accompany Goku there. So it is canon.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Man, you people talk about canon a lot.
If it didn't happen in the manga, it isn't canon to the dragonball Toriyama wrote. And by "the manga" I mean the one Toriyama wrote. In fact, the only mention of something canon to the manga we've gotten is Jaco the Galatic Patrolman.
My stance on "Canon" is "If it doesn't contradict anything, it's a-okay." This view has served me pretty well over the years.

"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."That's not a bad view really.
And if anyone's got a problem with it, I still got my Cannon (of the shooting variety).
One Strip! One Strip!

I like how they outright said that there's no purpose to Beerus actions and he's basically destroying planets for fun.
