Ugh, no-one is arguing that they used to be human, that's obvious. In the manga, when Krillin brings Bulma the Android blueprints he found in Dr. Gero's sub-lab, she explicitly states that all of their alterations were bio-mechanical and the reason for that is because they are designed to be absorbed by Cell. The shut-off mechanism caught her eye as it was the only thing metal on their bodies. #18 being completely organic in the Buu Saga was NOT a retcon as it was an established fact in the Cell Saga.
That's a bad translation. All of her is organic. Even the bomb actually, because the shut-off mechanism was the ONLY metal thing in her body.

Re: Dragon Ball Heroes pictures
From that description, it almost sounds like SSJ 3 Cell Games Gohan. The picture is too tall for that, though. And that would be a horrible idea.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!
It's literally everyone's fanfic.
Like, even more fanficcy than Dragon Ball Heroes normally is.

Biomechanical doesn't mean organic. It's the study of mechanisms relating to the body. An artificial heart is biomechanical. A prosthetic hand is biomechanical. Robot legs for paraplegics are biomechanical.
I'm reasonably sure that so long as 17 and 18's modifications resemble and reproduce the functions of their human biology, they qualify as biomechanical regardless of whether they're made from living tissue or steel.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Actually, since 16 does not have a human base he was built from, he's as biomechanical as my computer.
But I do wonder, does this make Android 20 Biomechanical? I mean, he isa prosthetic body attached to a brain...
Also, I was operating under the misconception that 'biomechanical' meant 'completely organic but manmade bodyparts', so 17 and 18 would be basically "Human, but made stronger through SCIENCE!".
If biomechanical can also include 'prosthetics', then I'm going with the idea that 95% of their bodies were replaced with stronger prosthetics, and the 5% that remained of the originals happened to contain 18's reproductive system.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariAnd "organic" doesn't mean living tissue, it means "certain combination carbon based molecules". The most famous example is plastic, which has yet to be found as living tissue yet is organic none the less.
So yes, it's possible to be 55% bio mechanical and still only have one metal part or none at all...how did we get on this topic? I kind of skipped from page 700 something just to rant on Dragon Ball Super, which I haven't actually watched yet(still waiting on Resurrection F to get here)
And speaking of rant, why is the Red Pants guy with the Time Breakers? I was pretty sure that didn't happen until the Bad Future...badder future. And why would Trunks turn Super Saiyan 3? Isn't the average time patrolman supposed to have a power level of 100,000?(for reference, Freeza's weakest form was 530,000) What could Trunks, who was way passed that mark when he first appeared and so strong by the time he left that not even the mass produced Android 16s fielded by the Red Pants should give him much trouble, have possibly fought to push him that far? Not even sure Cell-X or Miira would be much challenge to him at SS3, seeing how a few plain old Super Saiyans could get the job done in Dragon Ball Online.

Buldogue's lawyerActually, if Mira's powerlevel in Xenoverse is anything to go by, Trunks would probably need SSJ 3 to face off against him. Mira utterly trounced Trunks as a Super Saiyan when they fought and, in fact, Trunks couldn't even harm Mira at all. And Xenoverse takes place before Online's timeline, IINM, which means Mira would have already recovered and become even stronger since the time he got nearly killed in Year 850.

Gohan would love nothing more than not having to fight because he's not powerful enough to be relevant.

Since I'm the one who bested Saiga it's only fair to make ME the new pope. I shall be the Whis of this thread.
