I think the capsule system worked better. Depending on the which ones you gave your character determined what that character was. You wanted SSJ 4 Goku you equipped that one if you wanted Fusion Goku you chose that one. Easy simple, no need for multiple versions of the same character.

The capsule system still had its flaws, if Xenoverse was customisable it would be the best IMO.

It'd also mean things like slapping Vegeta's scouter on his Boo arc costume if you desired.

So it occurs to me:

Remember how I thought it'd be interesting for Bulma to try and create some Powered Armour using all the different technology she's come across:

  • She's already got a base in Frieza's armour tech, which she managed to replicate;

  • The Scouters for scanning Power Levels

  • The Androids infinite energy generators.

The biggest problem being that the Z Warriors never really leave enough to actually look at.

That is until Revival of F conveniently dropped a buttload of Frieza goons on the planet, complete with Fresh scouters, and maybe even a ship to look at.

Bet that idea could go down.

Now, there are still enemies that are way too powerful for any fancy suit, but for a lot of other guys, it could be pretty useful.

The only thing that could be missing is a chance to study the Energy draining models (for attacks you can tank, you just absorb it instead) since the only two models were destroy, and Krillin and Trunks trash Gero's lab, but I still think it could work.

It would give Earth a way to fight some enemies without having to rely on the Saiyans.

They already had a way, but Kuririn told her to stay in the kitchen.

I'm ignoring that.

Also, I wonder if Bulma could....

No wait. She has the notes on 17 and 18's schematics that Krillin gave her, so she doesn't need to look at 18 to understand the Infinite energy generator.

She and her dad also studied 16, who has the same power source.

It could work. Like I said, it would have been nice if they got their hands on some notes about the energy absorbing models as well (though this Bulma we're talking about so maybe she could recreate it from scratch), but unlimited power is pretty useful.

In fact, if those generators are clean burning, and can be enlarged, Earth could gain a new source of energy [[Film//Iron Man Arc reactor style]].

Well, she said she can't understand Gero's work. With the blueprints she could make the remote and repair 16, but it was apparently quite difficult.

If she had continued studying Gero's work during the years afterward she might get there but she hasn't shown any interest in it.

Then someone better slap some interest into her, cause that's some good shit that shouldn't go to waste.

I mean, Piccolo said Gero was wasting his tech on pointless revenge. It would be at the ultimate fuck you to him if the technology he created for nothing but destruction was used to save people....

...really? Nobody's made this joke yet? Alright, I guess I'll do it.

I'd be very much in favor of Bulma giving 18 a thorough examination. To better understand her tech, of course.

Okay, lets get something straight: the infinite energy generators in Lapis and Lazuli are NOT mechanical. In the manga, when Blooma (it's a better name than Bulma) is brought the blueprints she says that all of the alterations Dr. Gero made to them were BIO-mechanical. The only metal in their bodies was their bombs. Toriyama has repeated this same point in a couple different interviews.

@Rob infinite energy might put Bulma out of business, though. If it gets out. It's hard to predict the impact such a massive breakthrough could make.

And they have no motivation to try and replace the Saiyans as fighters, so that's out.

The Dragon Radar says hi. Well, ok, that's been used for both good and evil, but still.

...really? Nobody's made this joke yet? Alright, I guess I'll do it. I'd be very much in favor of Bulma giving 18 a thorough examination. To better understand her tech, of course.

Anyone who comes up with that joke should be ashamed, hereby, you are now shameful.

That seems like a joke Rob would make.

Damn, I did miss the boat on that one LIES AND MALICIOUS SLANDER!!! SLANDER I TELLS YA!!!!

Okay, lets get something straight: the infinite energy generators in Lapis and Lazuli are NOT mechanical.

Seriously?

In the manga, when Blooma (it's a better name than Bulma)

Gonna have to agree to disagree on that one

is brought the blueprints she says that all of the alterations Dr. Gero made to them were BIO-mechanical. The only metal in their bodies was their bombs. Toriyama has repeated this same point in a couple different interviews.

We have no choice. Call the Pope!!!!

[up] Well, it didn't stop Tony Stark, but I see your point.

I'm just saying, what if Goku and or Vegeta die again, Gohan fucks up like he always does, and Trunks and Goten don't have enough time to fuse.

Back up plans are a good idea, and they can't always rely on the Saiyans, not because they might fail, but because if Trunk's timeline is anything to go by, things can go tits up in a way no one expects.

And finally:

~Trips Rob, steals his idea, and runs off maniacally~ ONLY I AM ALLOWED TO FINISH GOOD FICS OFF OF GOOD IDEAS!

[up][up]

Why would you want a bloody knife?

[up][up][up]

Oh yeah. Forgot that. Well, Bulma remodelled a ancient Namekian spaceship (and learned to pilot it), reprogrammed a alien device that uses alien numbers to use earth numbers instead, invented a time-machine, and basically is a science boss (which is the same as being a regular boss, but with Science).

I totally think if she put her mind to it, she'd be able to reverse engineer the infinite energy generators.
