It was the first of its kind, so it could be forgiven, but...yeah. Eesh.
Budokai 3 was the shit, though.
My various fanfics.I mean, it was neat that they had Tiencha, and it was the first to have Majin Freeza and Cell. And there was Gokule.
But it was just so...meh.
My various fanfics. The game itself just wasn't that fun. It was the sequel to the first Budokai, so it should have been more polished, but it really wasn't. Mostly, they just got the kamehameha colors right.

I have plans for six, maybe seven, movies; six, maybe seven, DVD and Blu-Ray exclusive hour-long specials, all the mechanics of every scene worked out, a complex stat chart showing what each character specializes in to better write action scenes, solid feats coordinating to each level of power, plans for spin-off video games, and I plan to be a Film Producer out of college. I don't want to divulge any more details though.

I've been thinking of a way to make live-action Dragon Ball not suck. Mostly by changing things. Not changing the overall structure of the story, or the characters. Just minor things. For one, I think I would remove Yamcha, Tenshinhan and Chiaotzu (if we're starting from Z). If you give all the "I'm just human" roles to Krillin, the others seriously don't need to be there. They don't do anything noteworthy the entire series.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!
Well they were awesome in Dragon Ball and I am going to give them noteworthy things to do, like Yamcha overpowering Dr. Gero with Kaio-Kenx15 until Gero gets off a lucky grab and drains him or Chaotzu and Tenshinhan holding off Semi-Perfect Cell together for a much longer time, both using Kaio-Kenx20, with Tenshinhan firing actually damaging Ki-Ko-Ho's and Chaotzu popping blood vessels in his eyes with telekinesis and sniping his soft joints with Dodonpas. Or all four of them helping against the Cell Jrs with Kaio-Kenx30 after they all take turns in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber

Yeah, exactly. Being vaguely similar to Shin Budokai is more than the movie could say for its similarities to Dragon Ball.

That sounds fucking terrible. If Gero only beats Yamcha for being lucky, the whole arc is off to a really bad start. Also, since Goku has the ability to teleport there is absolutely no time for there to be a fight any way. As soon as something happens, Goku will arrive.
But seriously, it is just straight up a bad move to be so concerned with making secondary characters' shine that you throw out everything else.

We're on different sides of the spectrum, I dislike Minus's revision of Goku's origin and only tolerate Tarble because Vegeta's indifference to him was hilarious.
Can go either way with Beerus.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I never got why people talk like Budokai 3 is like the messiah of DB games. It's seriously not as cool as people remember it being. Then again, I'm the guy who likes Budokai Tenkaichi 2, so apparently I've got terrible taste.
DBGT FB FTW.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI am still playing it recently and my memory is not that bad.
That said, I feel Infinite World is a clear improvement. Doesn't matter, still among the best of DB games.
I need to find a non-overpriced copy of Tenkaichi 2 to try that again. Played Tenkaichi 3 recently, holy shit that does not hold up. I'm pretty sure I remember Tenkaichi 2 being better, though, so I want to give it another shot.

I didn't say it wasn't.
I said it is not as good as a lot of people seem to think it is.
lrn2read, dood.
Tenkaichi 3 had the problem of being, well, too goddamned easy. It was a game practically tailor-made for button mashers. Tenkaichi 2 was a lot less forgiving, since just mashing square would get you... all of five hits, and your opponent would have enough time to recover before you could press on the attack. And that's not counting the fact that Tenkaichi 3 made it so that Blasts could not be interrupted and made it so that the opponent was knocked back should he try to punch you as you charged it up, allowing you a free shot. In Tenkaichi 2, you can be punched out of a charging attack.
Basically, the reason I think Tenkaichi 2 is superior to Tenkaichi 3 is because it is a harder game. It's why I enjoy Bloody Roar 2 over Marvel Vs Capcom. Because if you button mash on the latter, you can actually pull off a win, because of how 'accessible' the game is. On the other hand, if you try it on Bloody Roar 2, I'll be having a lot of fun beating you around like a ragdoll.
Either way, DBGT Final Bout is still my favorite DBZ Fighting Game. Even though, objectively speaking, it's pretty much shit when compared to Budokai, Budokai Tenkaichi or Xenoverse.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariTenkaichi 3 is my favorite for its cast of characters.
I can forgive an unimpressive Story Mode. What really matters to me is having as many characters as possible to play around with, because I can make my own Story Mode.
Tenkaichi 3 is my go-to game for solo Fighting Game fun. It's kind of nerdy, but I like to reenact things in Dragon Ball. Like, I'll do Buffy and Videl will be Buffy, or I'll do Fullmetal Alchemist with Future Gohan and Future Trunks as the Elric brothers, etc.
The more characters the game has, the more options I have, and in addition to its amazing and wide range, Tenkaichi 3 has by far the largest cast of female fighters.
- Android 18
- Videl
- Zangya
- "Fasha"
- Chi-Chi
Five is still a pretty unimpressive number, but it's better than the standby of "Two, sometimes one." It hurts the reenactment when every female fighter is just a different recolor of Android 18.
I've tried other fighting games for my reenactments and, Smash Bros. aside, the main problem I keep running into with them is that most fighting games don't have a Single-Player Versus mode - only PVP or Story Campaign.
