As IANCE pointed out, Vegeta learning to sense and suppress ki happened only because he knew it were possible. He outright says there is no difficulty in doing it as long as you're aware of it. And considering Goku in the first arc shows the ability to sense energy, it's not really hard at all.
As far as flight goes, that is a difficult one - Goku took three years to learn it and he sucked at it, barely using it against Piccolo and relying on the Kinto'un in the Saiyan arc for most of his travel.
Oh, and the Solar Flare is another technique mentioned to be really easy to copy, Kuririn says so (and he is able to use it simply by thinking of it).
it's a comedy manga, but with a plot. it's kinda similar to the earlier parts of dragonball, or sandland if you've read that. Characters and storytelling is pretty simple but they're pretty charming and effective, as I said Toriyama is pretty good at that sort of thing. His art's pretty crisp, you notice how talented he actually is much more easily by actually reading his comics.
it ties into dragon ball very blatantly at the end; jaco is actually on earth because he was sent after goku's pod, and the briefs family and goku's grandpa actually appear in the bonus chapter. so do frieza, bardock, and even bardock's wife!
Oh. Tights. My bad. thought she was called Pants. Well, we know what she's doing, but I'm still curious as to why she's never mentioned.
Well, ok, she's never mentioned because she only exists now, but still. Then again, nobody knew Vegeta had a little brother so I suppose it's not a big deal.

One Strip! One Strip!I just thought of something: what if the reason Chi-Chi has no problem training Goten is because he wasn't kidnapped by Piccolo? Basically the only reason she doesn't want Gohan training is because she thinks that the only reason he wants to is because he's traumatized from Piccolo kidnapping him at such a young age. She thinks that Gohan training is damaging for him because he was kidnapped by a monster, isolated for half a year, and forced to train in hellish conditions for another half a year, traumatizing him and convincing her that her Gohan is mentally damaged and needs to be treated gently and with care whereas Goten hasn't had any training-related trauma in his life and if he wants to get stronger that's his own, independently-made choice.
And you know what? I think she's right. There's no reason to assume that Gohan ISN'T traumatized from Piccolo kidnapping him and training him. What do you think?
She didn't want him to train at all. She wanted Gohan to be a scientist. And Goku was like "Eh, okay then. Guess me and my son will just never have anything in common."
My various fanfics.Sometimes I wonder why Chi-Chi is in the series. She is opposed to literally everything and every character ever introduced for like 2/3rds of Z. The only reason that fraction isn't bigger is that for most of the original manga, she doesn't exist.
My various fanfics.I didn't mean that she would be actively training him, I meant that she would allow him much more freedom in what he wanted to do with his life if Piccolo didn't kidnap him. And besides, he was four, at that point the parents are just throwing around half-hearted ideas for what their child will do when he grows up. There's nothing super-serious regarding the future at that age.

Agreed.
Though she loosened up on training Goten, so I wonder if she'd have always stuck to that attitude of no training.
Just read the first chapter of Jaco (which is the only one I've found so far).
Oomori's story makes me think that Future Bulma may have gotten her hands on his research and finished it. This old dude might have unknowingly created the device that saved the current Goku and the future.

One Strip! One Strip! It is kind of a problem with the narrative, though. Chi-Chi hates all of Goku's friends because they're a bunch of homeless macho vagrants who like to do their nonsense katas, and nothing is ever introduced to prove her wrong (aside from saving the world, I know). Yamcha lives in the desert, Tien lives in the desert, Krillin lives in an old pervert's beach house. It took filler for Yamcha to have a job, and it took two decades for Krillin to find employment.
My various fanfics.Because it's kind of like Toriyama saying "Yeah, all those characters you loved are basically a bunch of hobos."
My various fanfics.I know, that's what I'm saying. Usually, when a character is introduced that is critical of the cast and the way things are, they're either proven wrong, or the other characters take steps to change things. Here, Chi-Chi's just right forever.
My various fanfics.
