Has anyone here Jaco, by any chance? I'm assuming most of you have but I just finished it now.
I liked it a lot more than I expected, honestly. I especially enjoyed how it's actually a prequel to Dragon Ball to the point where it ties into it very explicitly in the bonus chapters. I've read that Toriyama doesn't have any high artistic pretensions when creating manga and just wants to create entertaining stories, and to be honest I think he's damn good at it, even now after all this time. I felt similarly when I finished reading Sandland a few years ago.

I don't know much about Jaco, but I do know they are gonna have to explain the lack of Pants.
.......
I'm not changing what I wrote.
Interesting Note:
The reason Vegeta didn't already know how to sense ki and hide his powerlevel was because he didn't even know it was possible for anyone other than Freeza, who transformed to do so. It didn't take him long to learn it once he learned it was actually a thing that could be done.

Anyone can get stronger. You just need the right in-story handwave. Stuff like "he learned a technique that multiplies the normal limitations of his body's abilities and senses" or "his anger unlocked a legendary hidden power" or "he got his ass kicked" or "he trained for 4 months". Anything works, really.

I have a message from another time...Here's a thought:
If Saiyans can learn to control themselves while in the Oozaru state, do you think it's possible for them to control whether they transform in the first place?
I mean, it's never come up, and there's probably never been a situation where they didn't want to transform, but if there was....
One Strip! One Strip! You're basing that on what we know of biology.
This is an alien that transforms from sunlight but only when it is reflected by the moon, becoming several times its own size, and only if they have one of their appendages, which grows back when amputated except it sometimes doesn't.
Saiyan Biology does not make a lick of sense.

See your point, but since Saiyan Biology doesn't follow logic, there's nothing to really say they can't control it either.
One Strip! One Strip!Saiyans transform from seeing the glowing moon. It's a visual trigger that can be replicated via fake moons, other celestial bodies... So there's some kind of mental state involved.
In theory, it should be possible to induce that through will and physiological control alone. It probably requires the tail, though.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!

Didn't Roshi's strength still increase during Dragon Ball?
