@Nik Oh, you're right, I think he might not say it in the manga either (but in both cases the aura is clear enough).

The only way to render it is Tenshinhan, which Viz uses. Tien was just an invention of the dub.

I have. Along with Seru and so on. Even worse, I've seen people use Vegeta but then call Vegetto "Bejitto" because consistency is overrated apparently.
I use the original names for pretty much everything, but I used proper romanizations instead of completely literal ones like Bejita and Torankusu. Also used future Trunks instead of Mirai because I don't think "future" should be a proper noun, and I only leave proper nouns untranslated. I don't like using the dub names because in same cases they're just not accurate, like Tri-Beam or Destructo Disc.

Destructo Disk is lame but I don't mind Tri-Beam.
Speaking of which, anybody ever notice that the "it will drain your life away and kill you" stuff about the move got forgotten after the 22nd Tournament? (there's another word I don't mind using even if 99% of people use Budokai)
Then again...was the move's cost why he died against Nappa? Or was it just he was too drained and wounded and using a powerful blast killed him?
How was it forgotten? Using it at one time won't kill you, and he's used it on only four occasions. The first two times he has fine, second time he died immediately after and it's ambiguous what killed him, and the third time he spammed it and nearly died.

Probably not. They said their is 12 universes, which doesn't fit the multiverse theory. It's probably 12 completely separate things, like a Universe with completely different planets and races.

I figured the move he used against Nappa was a one handed version, the cartoon even used the same lightning effect (one of TOEI's moments of not sucking) and using the move on Cell was also supposedly draining him.
Anyway, battle of the gods sounds more like an episode than stand alone film, even if it is only a one shot. The new types of gods and new cosmology sound like they could have some frightening implications.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture Rack
I wouldn't be so sure of that; "God Saiyan" sure sounds stronger than anything in GT. Sheesh, Whis must be Index-level overpowered...
Honestly both these guys sound like bad fanfiction characters to me.

This movie's plot seems to be so ridiculous it seems one can enjoy it more as comedy or parody how power levels escalate too quickly within the canon.
PS. Still, Ggiorna Ggiovanna with Gold Experience Requiem solos those two

Kami would like a word with you. He's only BP 220. Just saying "God" does not make something stronger, and nobody in BoG has shown anything to put them up with GT characters.

Considering the original script by Watanabe was supposed to be Grimdark and completely serious, I think the escalation of powers was meant to be taken seriously as well.
"Fanfiction" is the best way to describe the ideas in this movie.

@ Katsura: I still find it weird the Androids were (apparently) stronger than Frieza, though as has been pointed out this is mostly due to Frieza being so far above everyone else (ten times better than the next best guy in his army in his base form , was it?) that anyone being above him thus seems unbelievable.
To quote someone from another forum: "I always find it fascinating that many fans have no problem accepting that random aliens can be zillions of times stronger than the gods, but unable to accept random androids being stronger than random aliens".

And then in base he overpowered Super 17 who had just beat down SS4 Goku.
And then he did the same thing to Omega Shenron, who was desperately trying to kill base Goku but couldn't even scratch him. It seems that for GT Goku, his base form becomes stronger than his previous strongest power right at the end of every battle (this is even implied earlier when base Goku becomes stronger than his previous Super Saiyan form just because).

Kami was not born a god though. He was promoted to the position. In my mind it makes sense for him to be rather weak in the grand scheme of things.
edit: Also they're Androids that use humans as a base. I'd imagine that would diminish their power quite a bit due to humans being one of the weakest species in the universe. If they were alien androids like Frieza it would make more sense.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone use "Bejita". Like, ever.
Time to leave them all behind
