I've never enjoyed the idea of Death Battle, either. It's just way too much fanboy nitpicking. I get a lot of people enjoy this stuff, but I don't, really. And if fictional characters did fight, I'd rather an outcome be determined from more than just "My power level is higher than yours."
You know, like how early Dragon Ball/DBZ did it.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Yeah, it doesn't exactly go for any narrative beyond brief intro scenes. The focus is on the battle and their reasonings. I can totally get that premise not doing anything for you, and that's as legit as enjoying it. It's all good.
they do (at least claim to) factor in tactics and personality as well. Though it does often come down to how powerful [x] thing is, I'll not claim otherwise.

I have a message from another time...Really, it honestly isn't that different from Deadliest Warrior.

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!The appeal is the parts that aren't that.
Deadpool was fun. As is Taka.
Masako X is nice.
The Eggman vs. Wily one was unique and they should do more like it.
I liked Solid Snake. And I learned a lot of things about Splinter Cell and am actually considering giving it a shot at some point!

Really just wish people saw it as Rule of Cool like I do, but unfortunately its always Serious Business.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Just Here for Godzilla is a perfectly valid reason to enjoy anything.
@unoun They basically do the same thing Death Battle does, in that they analyze the weaponry of two different types of warriors and run countless simulations to determine the one who would win most often. It does mean there are times where the declared winner gets killed, it just means they win more often than not, like what was done for that Pokémon Starter Battle Royal.

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!I mean.
...The thing is that the research at the beginning has some interesting facts, jokes, references, and even some character sometimes.
Again, I have gone from no interest in Splinter Cell to starting to try to save money for the next steam sale.
And part of that was the fight itself, part of it was the clips at the beginning made the gameplay and characters seem interesting.

For the record, Vlad the Impaler's biggest feat was scaring the pants off the Ottoman empire which is pretty much the reason why Europe wasn't mostly ruled by those guys. He did this by impaling a countless number of people and making a giant forest out of their corpses (and also some of them were still alive and well enough to scream for added ambiance).
I don't recall him being a particularly adept general, per se, but he did pretty much do the most epic bit of psychological warfare in history.
But the fact that Sun Tzu has extremely inferior troops as his disposal would probably tip the scales in Vlad's favor regardless.
The difference in equipment is basically making it look like Sun Tzu's forces were swinging bananas trying to bring down brick walls.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariSuper Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku in Resurrection F is stronger than Super Saiyan God Goku in Battle of Gods, however Goku has also been training between movies so that could be the reason for his improvement instead of the form being superior.
Death Battle doing another Superman vs Goku doesn't make sense to me. I know Goku got two new forms, but Death Battle explained in the last video that they only go off feats, not power scaling.
Absolutely no numerical feats were given in the last movies. Only powerscaling, with Goku becoming stronger than a guy stronger than some other guys. So anything they come up with will be conjecture.
I am not a fan of death battle. I feel cross series vs are interesting but fundamentally flawed, because the differences in setting often make it impossible to say. And I feel they give themselves too much authority for what they're doing.

The "rules" of Deathbattle is for both combatants to fight as hard as they can, to the death.
