What makes Bleach great is there is no Vegeta. Byakuya especially isn't a Vegeta clone.
People say Nardo's the successor to Dragonball, but I don't think so at all. Not just because I hate the series now, but because Nardo's just so generic. At the time DB came out, it was pretty unlike all the other mangas at the time, and of the current huge shonen, Bleach is the only one that sets itself apart by not copying Dragonball at every turn.
In that regard, I feel like Bleach is the true successor to DBZ.
That aside, I'm pretty harsh on Vegeta clones. Since Vegeta's my favorite character in any show, I expect characters that are clear ripoffs of him to be at the very least good. Generally, I end up hating the rivals because they fall really short. The most recent example I can think of is Satsuki from Kill the Kill.

You seem to be forgetting the other side of that equation. If it weren't for Vegeta, Goku would have never fully learned of his heritage and wouldn't have had the seeds of the Super Saiyan transformation planted. If it weren't for Vegeta, Cell would have won the beam struggle with Gohan. If it weren't for Vegeta, there'd be no Vegetto to wreck Buuhan's shit. If it weren't for Vegeta, Goku would have never thought to use the Spirit Bomb on Kid Buu and wouldn't have had the time to form it. If it weren't for Vegeta, Goku wouldn't have become a Super Saiyan God and Beerus just might have destroyed the planet before he could ask Shenron for information.
Yes, everything you said is a part of what makes Vegeta a good character but you seem to be forgetting the fact that he's possibly the greatest support you could ever have.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I would respond to that but I could have trained for the arrival of the Androids in the time since I last had anything to do with the Buu Saga.

I think I was like that, too. When first getting into DBZ, I thought it was simply going to be a Shonen trope bingo game. The fact that it stood on its own really surprised me.

So... four months?
Also, people... there's a reason why Dragon Ball has endured to this day, and there's a reason why I believe that Naruto won't have the same lasting power.
While they're both trying to do the same things...
To be entirely honest, DBZ did it first, and it did it better.
I'm not a dumb fanboy just shouting about how much better the series I like is... but Dragon Ball didn't have the Uchiha clan, is what I'm saying.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariGood for you.
I would say...
Actually, to be entirely honest, the last few parts of Naruto were fucking hilarious, though for all of the wrong reasons, so I'd recommend it, if you can make yourself able to not take it seriously at all.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariSo..... it's like Jurassic World, then?
Except replace awesome with funny?
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseBefore, I just assumed it was some sort of blind nostalgia that allowed Dragon Ball to remain popular. Now I know it's not the case. Otherwise, I wouldn't love this show so damn much.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Yeah, that's probably how a lot of people are. They think the love is just nostalgia until they actually watch the show or read the manga.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Oh, a lot of it for a lot of us is nostalgia.
Looking at it objectively, Dragon Ball has a lot of problems, no two ways about it.
But its good points are undeniable, as well.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariThere definitely is something about it that just works. I have absolutely no nostalgia towards it. I didn't grow up on it. And I still love it. As you guys can no doubt tell.

Looking at it objectively, everything has a lot of problems. The trick is that the good things have to be enjoyable enough for us to not care too much about the bad.
Notice I used that very same word. I just didn't place emphasis on it.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! No, we're acknowledging the higher than average amount of flaws.
BUT IT STILL ROCKS.

While I admit that Dragon Ball has a lot of flaws, I'm thinking about all of that flaws that, say, Bleach has and they seem about the same to me.
And then there's works like Naruto which have about five times as many flaws.
Can't really say anything about One Piece since I know practically nothing about it.
Compared to the Big Three, Dragon Ball seems to be on average so what on Earth are you comparing it to?
I wouldn't say that Naruto is a Goku clone either on the basis that Naruto is a lot more like what people think Goku is like.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! This so much. Naruto is portrayed as stupid half the time but I don't feel that's how Kakarot is portrayed.
Kakarot's more silly and naive than stupid once he hits his adult years.
Naruto also has a very strong moral compass while Kakarot has Blue-and-Orange Morality.
