This song needs more love.Okay apparently, while I don't know if Broly becomes a member of the team, it sounds like he and Goku end the movie on friendly terms. It also sounds like there's a neat moment where Goku calls himself Kakarot and Broly repeats it softly.

Hah.
Sounds like Toriyama wants to take the character in a very different direction from what Toei did. And for once, I got no complaints. Cooler becoming canon is also a surprise (how are they gonna explain that).
I still think the wish about being taller is kinda dumb and a waste, but there you go. This movie sounds good.
One Strip! One Strip!
That is, unless just like in his movie, he runs his own group. Maybe it wasn't just the planets Freeza had conquered that were causing him trouble. Perhaps Cooler started making territory grabs in order to assert his own control.

I want to know who's idea it was to canonize Cooler: Toei and Toriyama?
Since it's the latter's script, I'd assume it was him, but it's not really clear.
One Strip! One Strip!I always pictured Sorbet's biggest threat as being Jaco.
Which is a perfect illustration of just how far they'd fallen without Freeza.
EDIT: Characters having secret brothers and those brothers being weak and useless and not mattering is pretty Toriyama to me.

Heh. It really is isn't it?
Although in the movie, Goku claimed Coola was stronger than Freeza in his Shredder Form. I always figured it as maybe he'd surpassed Freeza in the time since the latter's death, but was still inferior to Super Saiyan Goku (and that he was theoretically more dangerous since he had better control).
We'll see how it goes. It's safe to say Freeza is stronger now, whatever they decide.

I actually think Frost was intended to be eviler than in the manga since both versions had him team up with Freeza during the Tournament of Power using the same justification: that they both love to rule with an iron fist.
It also makes Vegeta's insistence on kicking his ass make even less sense if Frost is just an impatient cheater. I think anime Frost is closer to what the character was intended to be.
