We've grown so accustomed to Future Trunks' timeline existing that pulling the Expendable Alternate Universe shit comes off as insulting
I think it's the other way around. GT had Goku turn into a kid, and used that to play up his dumbness. But that lasted for the first arc, and he acts much more serious after that (especially in SS 4).
But Super dials up Goku's flaws to a ridiculous degree, and does the same thing with Vegeta (arguably even more) They invent a new flaw for Boo and then use that for three arcs in a row, making it the sole defining trait of him when it comes up. Gohan gets hit with the same thing where a lot of focus is put on him being out of shape in multiple arcs.
Super's huge on character exaggeration.
@Unnoun, about monkey dick: Goku and Gohan only use Oozaru as kids, and we've seen how tiny kid Goku's dick is. I can easily see that being covered by his fur even if it got proportionally bigger.
Vegeta is wearing a uniform in the manga, only becoming an adult Ape in GT. The lack of giant monkey penis could just be a lack of forethought.
Gorillas also don't have tails though.
...Of course, "Ape" is the word for primates without tails, while "monkey" is usually for the ones with tails, so the fact that Oozaru is called "Great Ape" sometimes isnt accurate.
Humans are apes, Saiyans are monkeys.
There are, however, multiple species of monkeys and even apes with dick bones. Which Humans don't have. I dont think kid Goku seems to have one of those, but then again I don't quite know how I'd be able to tell from the manga panels.
...I'm not an expert on all primate genitalia, and even if I was I'm not sure kid Goku's was drawn 100% realistically.

I can't believe we had a serious discussion about monkey schlongs.
....why do I keep stepping into threads about dongs. Something weird is going on in Tv Tropes.
Anyway, got a video for you guys. This dude asks who's smarter between Gero and Bulma:
Academically and mechanically smarter that is. In every other way, their dumb as bricks...and equally evil.
Ultimately, I'd have to agree that Bulma takes it. When you do shit with Technology that even the Gods say is supposed to be bullshit, you know you're a fucking wizard.
Gero (all flaws aside) is pretty good. He accidentally created 5 beings more powerful than the strongest mortal being in the universe without even knowing gate latter existed, then made himself the 6th. That's impressive, but he also makes way too many mistakes, and plus...universe breaking time travel.
Bulma wins, Fatality.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, Bulma admits she couldn't understand Gero's work even with his blueprints. So I'd say that they have separate strengths.
True AI is also an often overlooked achievement of Gero. Admittedly his most independant AI was only somewhat intentional.
x5 Yeah, I think 'Great Ape' was just chosen because it sounded better in English. Ozaru would more literally be 'monkey king' which is more accurate (of course that name was for the Sun Wukong reference more than anything else).

And this is why we love the series: hefty amounts of class.
Well, there's a sentence I did not expect to read today. Man I love this site sometimes. I would take a continued topic on monkey dick over another power level argument any day...unless everyone admitted I was right about every power level argument I ever made. Then I'd love to talk about PL's.
True AI is also an often overlooked achievement of Gero. Admittedly his most independant AI was only somewhat intentional.
But she did figure out enough. While it's true it stumped her (perhaps it's not exactly her field), I think that given enough time, Bulma could have sussed it out. The video did point out that she figured out enough to be repair 16 and remove his bomb, though maybe that's not too much of a feat. There's also the point of her reprogramming the scouter, and learning to fly Kami's ship. Bulma has a knack for figuring out even tech she's not familiar with.
Those it says good things about Gero that she had such difficulty understanding what he'd done. Shows he was actually pretty far up there in terms of the big brains of the universe.

One Strip! One Strip!Bulma fixed an alien spaceship when she was five.
And, also at five, built a laser strong enough to scare the shit out of Jaco. And made him offer her a job in the Galactic Patrol.
...Like, yeah Jaco sucks, but he's also superhumanly strong and can lift heavy weights and apparently supposedly kill adolescent Saiyans. At least in theory.
Like, admittedly the Jaco stuff introduces a plot hole, namely why Bulma brought her bullet handgun to Mount Paozu instead of her laser cannon.
But it's established that as much of a genius as Bulma is, she's also kind of a dumbass, so.
I'm not an expert in handguns, but the one she shoots Goku with looks like a. Real one. I think I've seen it in video games. I wanna say a. Makarov? Maybe? In Metal Gear? Or a PSS, one of those.
The laser gun she uses in Jaco looks. Almost like a hairdryer, actually. Like she gutted one and used it as the chassis.
It seems modified, like the. Barrel. Is extended. And there's a front handgrip.
...Okay, maybe it was custom machined or 3D-printed or something.
Or maybe it looks bigger and longer because she's five and Toriyama draws her ridiculously too small and the laser gun isn't actually to scale.
In one sense, bringing a weapon you bought with money instead of one you made out of a ripped apart hair dryer might make a kind of sense.
If not for the fact that projectile bullet handguns in Dragon Ball apparently suck against aliens. And human martial artists.
Although, my favorite detail about Bulma's laser gun in Jaco is the arrow printed on the side. Because Bulma is enough of a dumbass to forget which end shoots.
EDIT: Oh, there's another plothole introduced in Jaco, namely that at one point in the original run of Dragon Ball, in the Red Ribbon Arc, Goku goes to Capsule Corp. and she's in school, even though in the end of Jaco, when she goes to find the Dragon Balls, she'd already graduated university.
...I don't think the original manga specifies what she was doing at school when Goku needed her to fix the Dragon Radar though, so. Maybe she was teaching.
Like. A 16-17 year old teaching PHD-level courses in that tube-top wouldn't be the most ridiculous thing Bulma has done.
EDIT: Like. As an example. When Bulma flashes Roshi, after Goku found out about her "No Balls".
Well. Goku made that discovery first thing in the morning. Then he found Turtle and took Turtle to the Beach. Bulma went with him without bothering to change.
She rode her motorbike the whole way there.
Somehow, she didnt notice she was only wearing a night shirt without panties. While riding a motorcycle all morning.
Doesn't actually make any sense.

I mean, ideally they eventually kill the bad 21 who does that form and keep the good one.
Cell as a permanent castmember could never work because of the spots, but every once in a while.
...I mean, they brought him back for Anime Filler, Fusion Reborn and GT, so. I guess they like him enough to suffer through it for a bit.
Edited by unnoun on Oct 20th 2018 at 10:52:37 AM
I mean, the actual plot, no. Not with all the resurrection apparently caused by a trip to New Namek, which explicitly nobody can actually find without Instant Transmission and King Kai. Or being a Supreme Kai or Angel.
...If we ignore the Super version of Resurrection F, we might be able to get Ginyu along if we assume he's still a frog.
If Freeza doesnt get killed by Broly, he'd still be around.
And if Cell is necessary, a wish on the Earth balls might be able to get him back.
The cloned enemies were seemingly mostly there to have mooks.
...Android 16 is explained as basically being a new body build from scratch with the consciousness data reconstructed and uploaded. Bulma explicitly has trouble understanding some of Gero's notes and work, because it's not her field, and even if she's smart enough to reverse engineer it, she might not have. Cared. About 16. Enough to try.
For 21, 16 was her baby boy.
EDIT: Also, like.
...The Earthling Soul idea could actually work maybe if you make it an established character.
Like Mr. Satan.
Or.
...God, I wish I could make a case for a girl character because I'm me and my politics but. No, actually, Satan is the clear best choice.
Possession by Satan is the best thing for everyone.
Edited by unnoun on Oct 20th 2018 at 11:25:26 AM
Clearly they are saving Satan for the Update Re Release of Fighterz where he becomes actually powerful.
And also corrupted by *insert never seen before machine from Dr. Gero that does this cool thing because he had a lot of those*
That new Satan is rebranded as Android 22. Or 666 just to go with the theme naming.

Shut and take my money!
<Throw out ten cents>
What? You're lucky you're getting that much.
One Strip! One Strip!@Saiga: No it doesn't. The kanji used for "oozaru" is 「大猿」 which literally means "giant/great monkey." If it was "monkey king", it would be 「猿王」 or "saruou" just like how Kaiou (界王) means "World King."
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Months ago, I wrote a fanfic about Cabba and Caulifla. It became a Dead Fic because I ran out of free time and because I fell into the Copycat Sue issue.
However, this time I wrote a shorter fanfic. Is a Perspective Flip of the Tournament of Power, and What If?.
The presence of Ultra Instinct
, or playing with MasakoX's titles, "What if Ultra Instinct was a character?
I'm sharing it hoping someone reads it. Is ok if you don't guys, excuse me.

To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.

...I still really really want a Jaco OVA.
