It's almost like bringing him back to life was a BAD idea. But what the fuck do I know.
The plot seems pretty easy to guess from this point; Freeza manipulates Paragus and Broly to fight for him under the guise of "revenge" against Vegeta, but conveniently leaving out that he blew up Vegeta. Now whether Paragus subscribes to revenge before reason or he gets killed by Freeza after finding out the truth remains to be seen.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.To go back on the "Goku finally...!" line for a sec.
I watch a video where the idea was mentioned and I think it could be possible, but it could mean that Goku finally puts on the blue Gi and we finally move on to "End of Z."
As for Berus' role in Planet Vegeta's destruction. That has the potential to be one of the most interesting plot points in the film, but I doubt they'll do something with it.
The spoilers make it sound like 41 years is when Vegeta is born, not when Vegeta exiles Broly or when Vegeta is destroyed.
It's hard to tell what timeframe this is all happening in.
@unnoun Roshi's old as fuck but he was also spending his days reading porn by the beachside. We don't know what kind of experiences he had outside Daimao and the tournaments. Goku's dealt with both of those, and unlike Roshi his experiences have gone beyond Earth, involving aliens, the afterlife, and other universes. Roshi has nothing on his experience.
Still, Roshi having more wisdom or experience could still work if that actually was part of his character. But Roshi had already admitted that he had nothing left to teach his students back at the 23rd Budokai, and they hadn't even reached space or the afterlife yet. Which is why I wonder how long Toyotarou wants us to believe Roshi had this for, if it's a recent thing he discovered after getting back into training it works a lot better than him just having it all along.
It's similar to Roshi's motovation in the anime, which while on paper seems like a touching sentiment it completely flies in the face of his (much better) original character arc by having him call bullshit on the idea that he can pass the torch on and accept that his time has been.
To make it worse, Toei can't even execute their shitty idea properly. Despite having Roshi declare that he won't accept his limits and quit, he then proceeds to accept his limits and in his next focus episode. They also wrote themselves into a corner by declaring that it would be terrible for the character to retire when that's almost certainly what they're going to do with him moving forward.
Retirement isn't for everyone, but that doesn't mean it has to be sad. There's nothing shameful or wrong with going "I had a good run, I want to see how other people ride."
And everyone has limits, there's nothing wrong with accepting that. Though that gets a bit harder to accept, I guess, with the way Super upped the power scaling even more (while simultaneously somehow not showing it off very well).
They should have just used Yamcha.
Give him some time to finally shine, instead of ignoring Roshi's previous statement of retirement and forcing him back into action that should be well out of his weight class.
Of course, Yamcha would have been eliminated instantly, because that's what Toriyama does, but he'd have still made more sense.
As would Goten and or (Kid) Trunks.

The sad part is I agree with you completely. That is why I said they should have used Goten and Trunks. I've argued both for and against them (and I still think putting them in is questionable, since Gotenks is a massive fuck up, and his best move not only still isn't good enough, but burns up his fusion massively), but they'd probably be capable of more than Yamcha.
You sir, need your ass kicked.
...The sad part is, you're probably right.
One Strip! One Strip!Super Saiyan 3 may not be enough for the God tier enemies, but neither are any of the things the alternative options bring to the table.
Gotenks really hasn't been a fuck up like you're saying. Like yeah he goofed around against Boo, but the first 25 minutes of his fusion are irrelevant since he only has 5 minutes in Super Saiyan 3 regardless of whether he uses it off the bat or not. Once he actually used 3, he beat Boo within an inch of life - 5 minutes just wasn't enough to finish the job, even when he went all out.
He doesn't need SS 3 to be better than the other options. Hell, the boys don't even need fusion period to be better than the other options. They don't even need Super Saiyan.

I'm still curious if there's some way for Saiyans to tell if other Saiyans are old. Caulifla was able to identify Goku's age and call him grandpa within a few minutes of knowing him, so maybe other Saiyans can just tell these things.
Also, Paragus is probably pushing 90, considering he's a Saiyan who actually looks old.
