Which is funny since Goku continues to use it years later, and it's probably the most useful technique in the entire series.
I mean, Goku being Vegeta in that legendary Beam-O-War with it. Forced Frieza to increase his power via combining it with Kaioken, and then there's Gohan using it to kill Cell.
For an amateur technique, it's pretty good I'd say. I'm probably forgetting a few examples as well.

It's just a big energy blast no different from any other big energy blast. As long as you master the essentials of concentrating your ki to amplify your power I don't see how it differs at all from the Dodonpa or Galick Gun or a charged Mouth Blast or any of another dozen plus techniques that function exactly like it. It's not bad a technique, but it's not remotely exceptional either. Heck, if anything it's below average by these standards- Vegeta's Galick Gun was overpowering Goku's Kamehameha despite their Power Levels being 18,000 and 24,000 respectively, implying that the Galick Gun was the superior technique.

Without the Spirit Bomb, Vegeta would have murdered everyone with no trouble.

If I see a single reference to Eiffel 65, I'm blaming you, and then I'm rampaging.
I just want you all to know that. Those Nuns won't know what hit them.
Which Nuns? The ones I'm holding hostage. Please think of the Nuns.
One Strip! One Strip! While King Kai does provide a lot of support (and it is easy to forget just how long he was Goku's Big Good) Roshi was probably more influential on Goku's overall progress, since it was he who instilled the lesson that "there's always someone better". Without that, Goku's training may very well have stalled after the second arc. Roshi also tends to provide a lot of other formative sage martial arts advice; it's him who tells Goku and Krillin that they should only use their powers in noble and restrained ways, and he even manages to bring Kami out of his suicide attempt by explaining how the gift of the Dragonballs has benefited the Earth massively.
Roshi also tends to be very proactive in certain arcs, like when he provides Namu with water and he's basically singlehandedly responsible for Tien's Heel–Face Turn in the 22nd BT arc. Namu's village would have been destroyed by its drought and Tien would have remained an asshole (or potentially even tried to kill Goku in a fit of rage with the Kikoho in their tournament match, and could have very well succeeded). Heck, he nearly ends the King Piccolo arc halfway through.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"So does any other basic energy/beam attack...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Toriyama said before that he tested out a bunch of poses personally to see which was the coolest.
Perhaps he realized how silly that was at its core and made the Ginyu Force.
You are not alone.I just saw some fanart for an AU where Raditz comes to Earth with Kakarot, and I'm so confused. This is such an obvious idea that ticks so many of the traditional AU boxes, and yet I've literally never heard of it before. There's been so many variations on "Raditz turns good" and "Saiyan comes to Earth instead of Kakarot", but I've never seen "Raditz comes to Earth with Kakarot" before, and it's bizarre considering how obvious that seems.
I mean, if he did, what would have happened is that he'd just start killing everyone on Earth. Depending on what his BP was at the time, he may damn well just steamroll everyone.
The thing so many people (especially Masako) don't seem to realize about Dragon Ball What Ifs is that a lot of them end with "And then everyone dies." Usually to Raditz but some make it as far as Vegeta.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Did Raditz also fall off of a cliff and suffer from brain damage? If not, everyone still dies. In theory, Raditz's BP is probably significantly higher than Goku's. Given his appearance in Jaco, it seems like he's at least three or four years older than Goku so that makes the issue even greater.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!It skipped over that part. Just went straight from "Gohan finds Kakarot and Raditz in the forest" to "Kakarot is trying to convince Raditz to go on an adventure with Bulma". The thing with fiction is that it doesn't have to be realistic. Maybe Kakarot hit his head and Raditz changed his mind on Gohan from Gohan taking care of him. It was just a few pctures, nothing super in-depth.
It hypothetically doesn't always take brain damage
Vegeta eventually settled his ass down and all it took was a family, things saiyans supposedly don't even believe in. And also having his ass kicked repeatedly
So it's possible that Raditz eventually decides not to be an evil little shit
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI feel like those AUs are Completely Missing The Point of Raditz's character and narrative purpose.
It's always possible that in such an AU Bardock and Gine would have filled Raditz in on their suspicions about Freeza.
That said, that wouldn't necessarily stop Raditz from conquering the planet even if he doesn't kill everyone.

Roshi didn't teach Goku the Kamehameha. Goku learned how to do it after seeing it once because it's piss easy. Tenshinhan did the exact same thing at the 22nd Budokai after seeing it once and mocked it as an amateur technique.
