I don't hate Broly. I get why others do, but for me, his joyful bug-fuck craziness is entertaining.
I mean, most of the villains are sadists who like hurting people because they can, but they're very low key about it (or in the case of Pure Buu, too crazy to have fun with it).
But Broly...this is a man who enjoys his work. He does what he likes, and he likes what he does. His business is making everyone Yamcha, and business is very very good.
I haven't seen a dude have so much fun during a death match since ROTS Palpatine. He should thank Goku for helping him find his calling of folding bitches into pretzels.
Simply put, Broly won't just wreck you shit, he'll be positively giddy about doing so, and I find that funny as hell.
I'm hoping some of that carries over to Toriyama's interpretation of him.
One Strip! One Strip!I mean just look at his Level 3 in Fighter Z.
He’s cackling like a maniac on crack during the whole thing.
It’s like in a group of villains, Cell & Frieza will laugh at your misfortune but Broly will be the one uproariously laughing “Did ya see that, did ya see that?!?! That was hilarious!!!!” with all the energy of a deranged toddler.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Having higher expectations than whatever the show I watched as a kid gave me for the franchise going forward. Nothing in Dragon Ball Super is out of the norm from the original manga really, no matter how hard some might argue otherwise. If I had heard about this years ago, I'd be more negative about Broly being canon. But now? Man, it's Dragon Ball. Stop putting it on a pedestal.
Dragon Ball was never this god tier amazing series that people made it out to be lol, it was just a dumb fun entertaining series that just took off with a generation. Sure, it had great moments here and there and I'll always give the series props but man, people getting so bent out of shape over it never made much sense to me.
Super isn't perfect by any means, but it was entertaining and kept me watching week by week and that's all I ever really ask for when it comes to Dragon Ball. Its muscled dudes throwing energy blasts at each other, it's not that deep lol.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Holy shit, I am so glad this is a thing. Everyone flipping their shit just because Broly is finally canon. This is the kind of crap I absolutely love revel in. It's even sweeter since I actually like Broly. I'm so ecstatic that people are pissed off about this. Although Reddit has been oddly chilled about it. I can't wait until I hear how piss off TFS is about this. I already heard Masoko X & he's always been the least opinionated of TFS. At least from I've seen.
I hope they take this even further & canonize Janemba & Cooler. Not because I actually I like them but so people can get just even saltier. And to take that even further I hope Goku & Vegeta need fuse to beat Broly just so it can piss the power level fan boys & more importantly piss the VS community.

x10: Dragon Ball is also a worldwide franchise that airs on most kid networks known to censor violence with hackjob edits. In addition to thinking about Japan's newest censorship laws, Toei may have thought about the former and reduce down the blood for that reason (though oddly "filler" episodes tend to get consistently bloodier than usual).
The current Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro reboot on Super's former timeslot, and even its old timeslot buddy One Piece, don't seem to be hit as hard (though the latter tends to be tame down some really graphic stuff from the manga
◊). Maybe it's because they'll mostly be found on streaming services internationally that don't care about those things?

Broly is just another example of popularity giving you a large hatedom.
Serioisly, anyone who saya he's the worst thing to ever happen to DB is talking outta there ass cauae he's no worse than the typical DBZ movie villain.
Its just he in particular struck a cord with the fans so logically he got pushed & thus like anything that gets pushed for being well-liked ya got a whole crop of people who hate him for poorly defined reasons.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So the DBZ community being DBZ community.
As far I'm concern, Cooler slightly expands Freeza's background & Janemba still has a really cool concept. & That's enough to make them about appealing.
With so much hype that Broly gotten & it's barely a wonder that he would suffer from a hype backlash
So you were talking to me or someone else?
