Who y'all want for the DLC, the last pack added 8 characters, so I'm guessing 8 more might be coming. I got some a few ideas at who they could add:
- Bergamo
- Ribrianne
- Kafla
- Dyspo
- Toppo
- Android 21
- Shallot
- Evil Saiyan
Weird picks, I know, but they'd have neat movesets if added to Xenoverse. Plus, if there's a story, they could follow Heroes' Planet Prison arc.

I could see Caulifla and Kale getting in independently from Kafla as well. Maybe Roshi too since he's back into relevance now.
Besides content from Super, maybe we'll get a few old movie villains too like Garlic Jr., Androids 14 and 15, or Cooler's Armored Squadron, or maybe some GT content like Baby Vegeta, General Dildo, and Oceanus Shenron.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!HOLD UP, I just realized... what if characters that have appeared/will appear in Legends will also come to Xenoverse 2? Both games are by Dimps and share assets, all they'd have to do is just flesh out the movesets. This means that characters Pikkon, Tao and Chiaotzu could easily be added in a few months.
Hell, what if Dimps does what Pokemon's doing and make Xenoverse 2 compatible with Legends in some way.
Huh so that's how Cell's absorption works in real life.
Also a thought: So its agreed that the main reason why they went with the battle royale route is because the simple tournament bracket would have took too long.
Though looking at how long the actual arc went, would a normal tournament really have taken longer?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well, the Manga is certainly speeding through the Battle Royal.
Honestly, it was probably a waste. The anime wasted a lot of time developing fodder that weren't really going to amount to anything for the most part, while the manga is just tossing them out since...well, they aren't really important.
If you weren't going to put any real effort into so many characters, then there was no point in doing it, though I do credit them for trying something a little different.
One Strip! One Strip!Which Universe was 4 again? What have they done in both mediums?
It's very hard to remember most of these guys.
One Strip! One Strip!Oh right. Yeah, they did very well in this one. They were also the ones with Dr. Paparoni and the Godzilla bot weren't they?
One Strip! One Strip!
This tournament has more flab than Buu (who didn't even make it in) Ribrianne and Monna (Fat lady from Universe 4)
combined.
I still find it funny that we had an entire episode dedicated to the Universe 2 Michelin Man and his sniper duck (or some kind of bird?) buddy. Said bird-sniper sniping both of Piccolo's arms off, and then somehow ends up being defeated by Tien of all people.
And Michelin Man gets fodderized by Vegeta. Fun episode.

I don't think cutting the number of fighters would actually help.
If you reduced it to say, 5 per universe, that means you're going to have the top 5 from unuverse 7. And they're God level. So either you try to have five God level people from each universe - which would be ridiculous in-universe and make the pacing WORSE for the screentime such fighters should receive - or you have basically the same thing, with the fodder being even more pointless because now they're only going up against u 7's top tiers instead of being able to serve a point against the weaker fighters. And either way you lose a lot of the chaos of a battle royale.
I think for the premise of this tournament you have to accept that not every participant is a central character. The anime didn't help with this by setting up so many of the minir characters in advance, or dedicating entire episodes to one-off antagonists.
I think the manga is handling it fibe, bar the balance of the u 7 (mainly 18 and Piccolo) characters which is likely a bigger problem with the outline wanting such a large emphasis on 17.
The fodder characters do serve a point even as they're breezed through - they demonstrate that u 7 IS very powerful among the universes, as it should be given how many advances in strength they've made over the series, and they make the strong characters (like Jiren) stand out as more meaningful, showing how rare such prowess is.
Eh I don't like such obvious protagonist privileges.
It's not very fun if Goku is already top dog in the multiverse & it be rather unearned for U7 when they only got like only 2 maybe 3 guys worth shit.
Besides it makes the multiverse feel more alive knowing theirs all these great warriors who went through their own trials & tribulations.
Everyone has a story as they say.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah I mean, Toriyama has been jumping through a lot of hoops to make threats even more powerful than Goku (and the manga and anime have different interpretation of how to do so).
I do think Saiga has a point about how reducing the number of fighters would just mean everyone had to be God Level (though I think that having them be from alternate universes mitigates that, since obviously there's no one left in U 7 that's an actual threat anymore), but that's kinda a symptom of the series refusal to have an upper limit on how strong the characters can get.
The only ones left to surpass are the gods, and then what?
One Strip! One Strip! It's not privilege. We saw the circumstances necessary for Goku to get where he was, it shows that kind of power shoukd be really rare. And you shouldn't hand it out to a whole bunch of characters who haven't had the build up or development that Goku did. It devalues all the time spent developing the growth of the u 7 fightersand doesn't make a lot of sense in universe with universe 7 finding the likes of Freeza to be incredibly powerful and rare.
It's just lazy to say 'oh yeah universe 7 which you have followed for decades is just the weak universe' to poorly justify throwing out some powerful new threats.
Why would Kaioshin even be surprised by the power of the early Boo arc Saiyans (Super Saiyan 1 and 2) if he was aware of the other universes who have mortals are way more powerful than that? You are invalidating huge chunks of the original story this way.

I'm fine with the combat mechanics but I don't care much for the RPG mechanics.
Fighting games shouldn't have level-ups and random drop chances.
