That is perhaps the meanest thing anyone has ever said about Gohan.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersPerhaps I'm imagining it, but I feel like his facial structure and jawline are shaped more like Goku's than Zamasssss's. The green skin and narrow eyes just distract from that, is all.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I don't get why that's a thing
It feels like a rip off of Kami and Piccolo but it's not like Piccolo served some great important role in balancing Earth through murder and destruction
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIs Kratos a God Beerus can Hakai?
I mean, it makes sense since he did it to Zamasu, but we know there are different levels of Gods, but not where Kratos would stand on the DBZ deity hierarchy.
One Strip! One Strip!I realize something: if Shin and Beerus were to fuse, it would basically nullify the Achilles' Heel of the life link, and you'd only be able to kill him/them the old-fashioned way.
Now if Beerus and Whis were to fuse, could you kill Whis by proxy via taking out Shin? Or would it be liked Fused Zamasu where the conflict between someone who should be dead and someone who shouldn't causes Body Horror?
A next generation set up has got to be better than Goku Jr and Vegeta Jr fighting each other, carrying that rivalry boner to new generations
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI don't think that will happen though. Toriyama doesn't actually seem to be interested in moving on to the next generation. He tried that with the Buu saga, realized he didn't want to actually do it, and now comes up with any and every excuse to keep making Goku even more powerful so that no one will ever catch up to and surpass him...among his friends.
Beerus is (ultra instinct being the exception) still more powerful, and even if Goku did master it, Whis, Vados, every other angel in existence, El Padre Grande, and both Zen-O's are so strong Goku will probably never come close to being able to beat them.
One Strip! One Strip!I’ve felt Goten and Trunks could probably carry a story or two on their own for a while. They have the wireframe of a decent character dynamic between them that could become the strong basis for something developed if properly nurtured.
To take over the main title, though? Nah. Character strength-wise and focus-wise, they’re just not there yet. None of the younger characters are interesting enough to make a Next Generation title that appealing atm.

Characters are made more interesting through more focus
It's almost a catch 22
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt'd be cool if Piccolo started a new colony of Namekians on Earth instead of just grumpily floating in wastelands

Yeah, but in the case of a long runner not by suddenly giving them all of it, because long runners have to build up that sort of interest over time, rely on long term fans and can easily lose those fans with abrupt major changes.
Hence my suggestion of giving them smaller or side stories of their own first and then, after they grow under the increased focus, seeing if they work in the protag role.

That is what they basically did with Gohan and it was a lot more organic than what Goten and Trunks got.
It's basically like pro wrestling, you spend a few years being beaten up by Freeza's goons so you get over with the fans when it's time to lay the smackdown on Cell.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"

I do admit, Toriyama did kinda double up on some characters.
Did we really need both Puar and Oolong...
...and actually that's kinda it.
