[up] I find it hard to believe that in the eons that life has existed in Universe 7, no-one who were good enough to keep their bodies in Other World either was ever stronger than Buu Saga Goku or didn't become stronger in the potential eons they had to train in Other World

Well that would require them to reach Kid Boo strength..........

[up][up] Goku is stronger than everybody, no exceptions. Except Buu and Gohan in that arc.

[up][up][up] The manga is very consistent about the fact that the strength of Freeza was incredibly rare, and that by the Boo arc the heroes have outpaced the rest of the universe. This is the final arc we're talking about, there's no reason for Toriyama to create extra characters who are more powerful than Goku and it would go against the themes he'd been pushing that arc.

I'm not even so sure what's hard to believe. There's no rule to say a minimum for how powerful you'd get from training over time, so there's no reason to assume someone must be on Goku's level in the afterlife when his power far surpasses almost everything in the living universe.

I do find it hard to believe that the power gap between Goku and people in the afterlife is so vast that he can't practice fusion.

It doesn't need to be vast from how the technique was originally described.

I guess it makes sense

There's only twenty some inhabited planets so that lowers the candidate pool significantly

But what kind of afterlife training was there that Goku could blow past supersaiyan 2 right to 3?

That does sounds suspect; if Goku was already stronger than everybody in the Afterlife, he really shouldn't have been able to find a good training partner.

Considering you only need to lower you power level to match the person your attempting to fuse as seen with Goten and Trunks when Trunks lowered his power to match Goten. The implication would have to mean that the difference is too vast for Goku to even be able to match said battle power.

This is the series where some mad scientist created beings more powerful than Super Saiyans by shoving some energy reactors into a pair of teenagers.

Toriyama is by no means averse to creating guys who are stronger than everyone before, even if it makes no sense to do so.

I actually do like how, instead of finding ways to make the heroes stronger to match the villain, Toriyama instead weakened Buu so they stood more of a chance.

Yeah, I've mentioned before how Shonen are waaay too reluctant to do that. You can't even have the villain injured. So good on you, Toriyama.

Look at how Bleach constantly raised the stakes with Aizen or Naruto with everything in the final battle.

So yeah Kid Buu being technically weaker is really cool.

I mean, that would be cool, except there were still options around stronger than Kid Buu that they could obviously use but, didn't.

Gohan or Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks could have easily ended Kid Buu, no fuss. They just didn't bring them because "symbolism". Some people might be okay with that, others, not so much.

Well, they were dead...

Then they weren't...

Kid Boo wasn't in any hurry to start fighting while they were thinking how to defeat him...

He was just waiting for whichever one was ready to hop in the fray...

Well the problem is Kid Buu turned out to be stronger than Super Buu according to Herms, so there goes that.

I mean, when they use the Dragon Balls to bring Earth and the people on it, that included Gohan, Goten, and Trunks. As soon as that happened, things should have been over.

[up][up] I asked this thread sometime ago whether Kid Buu or Super Buu was stronger and was told "it's definitely super buu, the idea that Kid buu is stronger is a translation error".

Insofar as logic applies, it wouldn't make sense that Kid Buu was stronger since he spat up everyone he ever absorbed.
