If Cell just decided to shoot him, then yeah. Sure. In fact, if it came down to a physical confrontation, then yeah, sure. That's the same for basically every other shonen series against Dragonball. But if Madara used a genjutsu right off the bat, he would probably win. Again, that's the same for basically every other shonen series VS Dragonball.

[up] Not sure how the powerscaling works by that - we see our first Moonbusting attack all the way forward in Naruto: THE LAST, which as we all know Roshi could do at the 21st BT.

I honestly don't think Madara could take Nappa in pure strength terms.

In a straight fight, I agree he gets stomped.

The Sharingan and it's numerous abilities (illusions in particular) are something of an issue though.

I know the really good illusions fool all the senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, and I suppose even taste) but can it bypass ki sensing? We don't know, since there's never been any illusionists in DB.

More to the point, there's also the issue of if he can get it off in time. We all know how fast these guys can be. They might just blitz him and take him out before he even gets a chance to try.

If the other guy just decides to fight off the bat Madara dies. I really don't think he's fast enough to keep up. Though I don't think they would decide to attack in response to a genjutsu purely because they've never had the slightest bit of experience with something like that.

I don't know. I can see Vegeta just blasting the crap out of him rather than waste time, though only if he's in a foul enough mood.

Kishimoto never said anything about Nappa. That was a rumor no one has been able to verify.

I mean, it's hardly the only series with paragraph long powerlists for some of the characters. I don't quite get why it's so funny.

Well, I think that's because they're so inconsistent.

I mean, look at Apocalypse. What is his power?

What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fucking dead, kiddo.

The famous "katanas are underpowered in d20" one is fairly long as well, from what I can remember.

That’s it. I’m sick of all this “Masterwork Bastard Sword” bullshit that’s going on in the d20 system right now. Katanas deserve much better than that. Much, much better than that. I should know what I’m talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine katana in Japan for 2,400,000 Yen (that’s about $20,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even cut slabs of solid steel with my katana. Japanese smiths spend years working on a single katana and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest blades known to mankind. Katanas are thrice as sharp as European swords and thrice as hard for that matter too. Anything a longsword can cut through, a katana can cut through better. I’m pretty sure a katana could easily bisect a knight wearing full plate with a simple vertical slash. Ever wonder why medieval Europe never bothered conquering Japan? That’s right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined Samurai and their katanas of destruction. Even in World War II, American soldiers targeted the men with the katanas first because their killing power was feared and respected. So what am I saying? Katanas are simply the best sword that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in the d20 system. Here is the stat block I propose for Katanas: (One-Handed Exotic Weapon) 1d12 Damage 19-20 x4 Crit +2 to hit and damage Counts as Masterwork (Two-Handed Exotic Weapon) 2d10 Damage 17-20 x4 Crit +5 to hit and damage Counts as Masterwork Now that seems a lot more representative of the cutting power of Katanas in real life, don’t you think? tl;dr = Katanas need to do more damage in d20, see my new stat block.

That gives me an idea...

That’s it. I’m sick of all this “Ultra Instinct” bullshit that’s going on in the Tournament of Power right now. Humans deserve much better than that. Much, much better than that. I should know what I’m talking about. I myself commissioned a Yamcha body pillow in Japan for 2,400,000 Yen (that’s about $20,000) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even cut slabs of solid steel with my hand. Humans spend years working on a single technique and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest blasts known to mankind. Humans are thrice as sharp as Saiyans and thrice as hard for that matter too. Anything a Saiyan can cut through, a human can cut through better. I’m pretty sure a human could easily bisect a knight wearing full plate with a simple vertical slash. Ever wonder why Frieza never bothered conquering Earth? That’s right, he was too scared to fight the disciplined humans and their techniques of destruction. Even in World War II, American soldiers targeted the humans first because their killing power was feared and respected. So what am I saying? Humans are simply the best fighters that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in the Tournament of Power. Here is the stat block I propose for Humans: (Regular Human) 1d12 Damage 19-20 x4 Crit +2 to hit and damage Counts as Ultra Instinct (Potential Unlocked Human) 2d10 Damage 17-20 x4 Crit +5 to hit and damage Counts as Ultra Instinct Now that seems a lot more representative of the power of humans in real life, don’t you think? tl;dr = Humans need to do more damage in the Tournament of Power, see my new stat block.

So, what are you guy's favourite abilities not connected to Ki?

I rather like Telekinesis myself, since it seems pretty useful if not perfect.

It let General Blue get the upper hand on Goku quite a few times, is the only thing Chiaotzu brings to the table, and then there's Guldo, who might be the strongest one in the franchise.

Blue and Chiaotzu could botch things if they lost focus (Chiaotzu in particular had to keep his hands up), but Guldo was so strong he was able to solidly hold two fighters who were both much stronger than him, with them being completely incapable of defending themselves. It's one of the few abilities where higher power level isn't the end all and be all deciding factor.

It's a shame Toriyama doesn't really seem to know what to do with characters who have that ability. Blue probably came off the best, lasting quite a few chapters, and ultimately Goku never defeats his telekinesis, and would probably still have had to deal with him if not for Tao Pai Pai just killing him off in a second.

Also:

You know, Masako is totally right: we've never actually seen the process of pregnancy in DB before. It's kinda interesting.

Well.. my signiature indicates some of my thoughts on the matter... but to elaborate:

Telekenisis is a terrible power because it's either completely broken or rubbish and barely useful. Dragonball manages to do both - Goku never actually beats Blue, a mouse scares him off (because gay stereotypes) and Taopaipai one shots him later. Krillin has no counter to Chaotzu's TK except to trick him into counting with his hands. There is absolutely no counter to telekenisis in the hands - sorry, in the brains- of someone who is not a total moron except to be arbitrarily more powerful until it doesn't work. Which is the writing equivalent of saying "sorry, sorry, I fucked up, forget that was a thing" - and we don't even know how much more powerful you have to be for it to not work.

So yeah, that's why it hasn't turned up again.

Fair enough. Though I was talking about which ones you like, not why another one is a problem.

You're not wrong though. I suppose that is why Toiryama got rid of it.
