And I don’t think being passive aggressive is needed.
Especially since I just contributing to the Toriko discussio going on.
Watch SymphogearConsidering Toriko has not been brought up here - well, maybe it has been before, but not since I can remember - saying "we're all aware" is a bit snippy.
Like, if I had said something about the humans being shafted and you responded with that you'd be right but it's hardly a topic that's been touched on much.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Even without bringing up Toriko, demongodofchaos2's love for crazy power escalation and ginormious feats is still something I think is relatively easy to pick up on. They've stated that Jiren is their favorite antagonist in the series, after all.
But either way, sorry for the offense. It wasn't actually a necessary comment.

Dragon Ball rarely states what characters are capable of doing...
Even when characters are boasting, they don't bother...
This Cell example is a mighty fine exception though...
Though the discussion was about the androids...

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Jiren's power escalation & feats suck though. Its all meaningless & emotionless like having sex with a Goddamn prostitute.
Worst DB villain ever.
Poor Toriko though, it never did achieve the level of fame its contemporaries did. Though Oda's claim of Mitsutoshi (Toriko's mangeka) being his rival does become darkly humurous in hindsight.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
no offense, you acting unironically like Comic Book guy made me face palm a bit.
But I can agree to disagree about jiren with you.
Watch SymphogearI guess he's the most negative because he's not actually a villain.

being annoyed by the existence of a fictional character is honestly petty, but that’s just me.
Maybe he never intended to be the last one standing...
Like, he had some small thread of hope that his team wouldn't need him...
And he couldn't possibly make a wish as he was fighting...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I hate wasted potential.
They had many, many opportunities to do something, anything interesting with Jiren but they chose to squander it all in end, leaving us with the most half-baked antagonist since sliced bread.

Such as not telling his wish despite the hype it got.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Sliced bread as an antagonist...?
Interesting enough.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The best Jiren moment was him punching the air so hard that it sent Maji Kayo flying out of the arena and created a shockwave. It reminded me of similar scenes from Yu Yu Hakusho and One Punch Man where the main characters did similar feats.
I feel like Jiren being so strong that his strength results in comical moments like that in contrast to his stern demeanor would have been a fun way to use him early on while we have little reason to care about him.

And it ends Toriko ready to hunt a space snake so big that it can swallow a sun whole, in an expanded universe where there are planet sized dango skewers and elephants that are the size of stars, that when in a massive herd, can create an entire galaxy.
The escalation is why I love it, and why I prefer it over DBZ’s scaling, becasue mitsutoshi can actually show what happens as opposed to character statements.
