Thinking about it, that means there is a timeline where Goku lives, and Gohan never reaches Super Saiyan 2. They are going to be fucked when the Majin Buu saga starts.
It's funny when you think about it. Many things go wrong for the Z-warriors, but if they didn't happen, they would be very unprepared for the next saga. If nobody died during the Saiyan arc, they never would have gone to Namek, and they never would have unlocked Super Saiyan, which would leave them fucked once the Androids appear.
Well, the main timeline Cell did get a lot more powerful than the Androids in a few days, so it's possible that Future Imperfect Cell was just that much stronger than 17 and 18 (remember that those two are also weaker in the future timeline) that he was able to kill a slightly powered up Trunks but not one who trained as much as the main Future Trunks did.
Nitpick, but the main timeline Cell is the one still in the lab that Trunks and Krillin destroyed. The main Cell is the one from the original timeline, which is basically "Future Trunks' timeline except Zamasu didn't go on a rampage and Cell killed Trunks because that Trunks never met him"
Cell was probably expecting the present androids to be weaker. Had he found Present 17 and 18 before Piccolo, he would've been beaten and forced to retreat before eating some people. I wonder if when he emerged he thought this was the past where the androids went berserk or it was a timeline where Trunks changed things...before Piccolo confirmed it of course. If he assumes he's at the beginning of a Bad Future, it would certainly go to explain how Piccolo caught him flatfooted since his Piccolo never fused with Kami
On an unrelated note, who do you guys think is the strongest angel besides the Grand Priest? I kind of hope Cus is one of the stronger angels

Zamasu specifically went to the timeline of the Future Trunks who killed Cell...
When he went on his rampage doesn't matter...

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Ever think about how the Cell Saga is basically Your Terrible Fanfic From When You Were 13 but is somehow still good? A super-duper badass character from the future comes to town! He has an awesome sword and turns established villains into literal mincemeat! He's the result of a pairing nobody but me ships! Some guy builds robots stronger than planet-destroying aliens in a dingy cave somehow! The new bad guy is literally every other character fused together, original character donut steal!

Sorry. I meant the Cell that was a main villain in the main timeline, not the one from the main timeline.
Yeah, it's straight-up all the bad fanfiction cliches, except done well.
I'm curious about something: since Future Trunks was the guest star of the Future Trunks arc and Android 17 was the guest star of the Universal Survival Saga, which character do you think will take the spotlight for one arc in a future arc? I'm betting Buu is gonna have the focus in an Uub-focused arc.
Veggie collects all the tails.
Rare dubs are a gift, there's a lot of them...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I think the Cell saga ultimately predates most of the fan fiction cliches it represents, making it something of an Unbuilt Trope.
One Strip! One Strip!Yep. Even the term "Mary Sue" was coined from a Star Trek fic in the 70s, or so I had read. Wasn't Lancelot a self insert fanfic character in the King Arthur tale?

"Mai waifu."Yeah we know shit about them so we can't even speculate or assume shit.
Also:
The U.S. & Canada are apparently getting an epic DB tour this year. Heh, I hope one of the stops is near Florida.
There's a giant ? in place of every other angel.
Want? Is there a need to want that?

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.None of the Angels strike me as being fighters.
Their powerful beings sure but that doesn't automatically translate to being trained warriors. Their too frilly & fancy to be the types to get their hands dirty.
Like they strike me as the type to just stand around & nonchalantly blast you, than getting into a stance & doing something more physical.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

It's gotta be the shutoff remote. If he's strong enough to kill the Androids, Cell wouldn't stand much chance against him even with a sneak attack.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
