I mean, basically the sort of thing Goku does, but from a different angle.
Honestly, if you're going there, a better question is what does Piccolo bring to things now? Because he is much more defined by Gohan than the other way around, which is also something I think they went too hard with.
You can give character's new things, and still have it work.
Indeed. No Gohan Blanco, No Piccolo and 17, No Goku vs Hit rematch. etc. The entire tournament is just a huge waste of time on an emotional level for me. I really wish that they never came up with the tournament......I just fell Draogn Ball'd out right now.
Does "Great Saiyaman" count as Inherently Funny Words? There's just something about it that makes me want to laugh every time I read or hear it. XD ^_^;;
Come on! Let's bless them all until we get fershnickered!That bit of characterization never appealed to me but then I never had much of a background in tokusutsu
With the benefit of hindsight the idea of Gohan fighting crime is such ludicrous overkill that I like it in abstract
Bullet proofing power level was hit in the earliest dragonball arc. I'd love for some supervillain type to chain Saiyaman to a bomb or something and have him no sell it
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe high school/Saiyaman "arc" is one of the oddest sequences in the series to me. It seems set up to be the status quo from now on, or at least a significant period, then just kind of... concludes once Goku returns and the Buu-related stuff begins.
It's one of the few place a casual observer can tell how written on the fly the series was.
By the way, has anyone edited the full Tournament of Power into real time yet?
This song needs more love.

I don't even think Gohan got particularly shafted this time.
