I would laugh at Freeza's revival, but that would require finding something to laugh at.

Future Trunks is the only one of the Z fighters who is proactive enough to go after Frieza. To be fair, I could totally see the Pride Troopers going after him for justice, or Frost wanting revenge.

So... what's the point of bringing Freeza for the tournament? In the end he didn't do anything interesting, he was just a good little teamate and kept his end of baragin. So it was all so they could ressurect him again? Seriously....

17 being the last man standing would be surprising if they didn't spend so much time wanking him beforehand.

Oh look, all the universe are back, color me not surpised. But it's good because I would miss some of them.

Oh for fuck sake 18, this is the stupidest thing anyone ever said on this show!

So Goku lost the Ultra Instinct again.... I just have no words for that.

Well, now just to wait for the movie and the inevitable next series.

I thought Zen-oh would turn out to be more of an asshole, since they established that he's erased six universes before. Then when 17 missed his chance to quote Futurama ("...and as an environmentalist, I'm against that.") and revived the universes, GP and Zen-oh could just wipe them again, causing a crazy rebellion even Frieza would agree to.

So yeah, just happy to see that GP and Zen-oh were the good guys all along. Now we have Universes -1 through -6 for fridge horror. wink

[up][up]What 18 said wasn't stoopid.

He had to choose between a Boat and a bunch of people he didn't care about...

Really difficult choice, honestly.

i wonder if 17 will appear in future arcs. Given his immense focus here, I wouldn't be surprised if him having a role in post-Z story arcs turns out to be a one-off thing, like with Future Trunks.

The first episode with Goku Black and the retelling of Resurrection F respectively.

Sooo… all this big 60 episode tournament was just so that Zen-ou could measure the virtue of mortals or some shit?

Good thing 18 wasn't the last one standing then. [lol]

I mean, what with the talk of Mortal Levels, it's not like it wasn't foreshadowed a bit.

I hope we see the rest of the competitors in the future. I want to see them appear as supporting characters in future arcs.

So I guess we'll have to see how the manga does it.

I doubt it'll turn out he planned it all along considering the discussion they were having right at the start, but maybe it will turn out he changed his mind very quickly and just kept the tournament going anyway for fun.

- Called it the Tournament of Power

- Measured compassion

Could only have been planned from the get-go. The gods only valued power for entertainment, but tricked the other gods into thinking it was all they cared about, and almost had enough of the mortals fooled.

Say one thing: it was unpredictable. I saw a ton of theories about how the Grand Priest and Zeno would react to bringing back the erased universes, but I never saw anyone think up this specific scenerio. Closest anyone got was theorizing that it was a Secret Test of Character done by the Grand Priest aimed at Zeno, no-one suspected that it could be one done by Zeno aimed at the other universes.

Zen-oh being the mastermind did catch me off guard. I figured it would be the Grand Priest. It doesn't help that Zen-Oh never says anything with weight directly. He always talks through the Grand Priest. Or the Grand Priest chooses to interpret Zen-Oh's will as he sees it. Or the Grand Priest is lying through his teeth.

And I think that bit of ambiguity is deliberate. How much of what the Grand Priest says comes from Zen-Oh is actually from Zen-Oh is something that they've been rather mysterious about.

I hope in future arcs they try calling 17 for help but it just cuts to him swimming nect ho his boat. And then he finally getd involved in a fight when his bost is destroyed.

It would be interesting if it turns out that Zen-Oh has been Obfuscating Stupidity this whole time and the Grand Priest is just his mouthpiece for serious matters. It does seem that in situations where the Grand Priest isn't around, like right after the U6 tournament or when Goku summons Future Zen-Oh to deal with Zamasu, Zen-Oh seems to display a certain degree of professionalism. Such as scolding Beerus and Champa for slaking off and deciding that Zamasu is endangering all of existence and must be destroyed.

I think the final team-up will be better remembered than UI.

I liked the finally. That was pretty good. I guess Jiren and 17 were the true main characters of this arc. I'm weirded out that 18 was concerned that 17 didn't get his boat. :p I get the feeling that was Bulma's boat from the first arc. It would tie things together

That's the kind of silly thing siblings would do actually.
