Also something I didn't catch the first time around: Frost is alive. Somehow.
This song needs more love. They used to be incredibly apathetic, now they're less apathetic.

This song needs more love.I have the same thoughts about Super as I do the Buu Saga. It has plenty of wasted potential and moments that feel like the embodiment of problems with Dragon Ball, but it also has some great new ideas, really good development for the characters, old and new, and incredible highs
7/10 (not including the first two sagas)

As a newcommer I feel like I got what I payed for, despite seeing a lot of glaring issues and a lack of innovation at some points. They introduced some really cool concepts go and I'll be sticking around to see how they develop from here. I'll give it about a 7-8.
Would really like to see the characters develop new attacks and techniques, as well as power up some characters that fell off.
It doesn't screw up it's ideas quite as bad as GT did, except for the TOP which was pretty awful all around, and has a couple arcs that are pretty decent plus imo some surprisingly good oneshot episodes, so I suppose in general if I Dragonball pre-Raditz as a 10 and post-Raditz as a 9, this is maybe a 6 while GT is a 4 or a 5.
It's still a boatload of wasted opportunity, though.

I agree with the second and am unsure about the first.
I don't really like numerical rankings - they seem to follow Four-Point Scale pretty strongly - so I'll just say, Super was pretty garbo. One thing I've noticed through this arc, especially towards the end, is when the series wasn't actively annoying me, the 'hype' moments failed to leave any impression on me. At the best of times, it was just 'whatever'. Part of that would be because what the show considers hype is just really flat, the other part would be that the rest of the show is of consistently low quality that drags down what could be a good moment.
But Goku and Freeza teaming up isn't hype, or going on about the power of 'trust'. The final 3 vs Jiren could have been something if the characters involved were more appropriate, but it wasn't. The whole thing is just flat, or funny in a bad way.
It was cringeworthy that they made 17's wish out to be surprising, or had 18 ask him if that's okay. What the fuck, of course it's better to bring back 11 universes instead of leaving them dead so you can have a holiday. I'm glad that they addressed how easy it is for Bulma to arrange that anyway, but that just proves treating the wish for a boat like a big deal was an incredibly stupid decision all along.
Ah, well. Came back for my break to see the reactions to the finale. I shouldn't be back for another couple of weeks, unless I somehow get on top of my studies.

The one thing I will always give GT over Super is transformations. God, Blue, Blue Kaioken, Full-Powered Blue, and both Ultra Instincts were collectively less impressive than 4.
This song needs more love.

Would've been positive.
