Well with Super gone, we'll just have to go back to complaining about everything else in the franchise.
Who wants to start another rousing conversation about why the humans should be more useful?
<Ducks a brick>
One Strip! One Strip!Conversely it could mean that when (or if) his soul gets cleansed and reincarnated, he doesn't and just comes back as himself and all his memories intact.

Why do I have the feeling that if Toriyama wanted to redeem Frieza, that is how he'd go along it?
I think a wish for immortality on the Super Dragonballs would auto-revive Frieza as well. The definition of immortality is "to live forever", so it would have to fulfill the "live" part. It's probably only possible with the Super Dragonballs however, if he used it in his current state with the Earth Dragonballs Shenron wouldn't be able to grant it since he's not alive.
I feel that the Super Dragonball's immortality would be superior to the Earth or Namekian Dragonball's immortality. Perhaps Earth's Dragonballs confer Majin Buu-level immortality, and Namek's Dragonballs make you unkillable to everything but Hakai or Erase

According to Herms anyway.
Whis brings Frieza back to life as a reward (apparently he can do that now) and El Grande Padre figured whoever won would just wish for the universes back anyway.
17 gets his boat. Frieza is up to new mischief. That rascal. Vegeta resolves to get Ultra Insitnct.

Nope. They just thought it was fun.
And that's it.
Just as a disclaimer: I don't know if 17 is the one who beat Jiren, I just know that he was the last one in the ring and got the wish.
