It's not like it takes a long time to do it subtly, and as we have pointed out just whipping out the Mafuba is not as easy an option as you insist it is.
Also yeah I totally did answer that. The series pretty clearly says it won't kill him, which isn't addressed until the reason WHY the mafuba kills you is addressed (in the form of 'it kills you via energy drain' with God having more energy than Roshi did).
And yeah, there you go assuming. You assume it's out of reach for God for... no reason at all.

It is, Piccolo Jr. was not going anywhere and he would have had no reason to assume Goku would object to him using the Mafuba. There's certainly no reason for him to just up and kill him when he's dedicated massive time and resources to not having to do that.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Piccolo could have potentially escaped if given enough time, since Goku's the only real one who can stop even an injured Piccolo.
He clearly didn't assume that Goku was going to help him, which he ended up being right about.
God saw an immediate opportunity to end it, after his other plans had failed. he wanted to be done with it, and didn't even believe he deserved to live at that point.
Roshi had to talk him out of wanting to die.

Ridiculous. Piccolo had had the shit kicked out of him. Are you telling me that Tien and Krillin couldn't have just held him down? He also has absolutely zero reason to expect that anyone there, including Goku, would object to him just Mafubaing the guy.
This isn't a little thing either since this is the reason two whole arcs have even happened at all.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"It doesn't happen much, but no matter how much damage an opponent takes...they're still stronger than the side characters.

Yes, over the timeskip in which he created the moon I'm sure he could create a container and seal for it.
I just find it odd that the characters who can supposedly manifest this stuff instead choose to physically prepare it in advance and carry it

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Don't bother. Saiga's clearly not interested in bending.
Obviously, the Saiyan villain of the upcoming movie is going to have some kind of connection with Yamoshi, but I doubt the idea that he actually is Yamoshi or a Saiyan from that time period, since he's wearing the modern Freeza armor design. He could be a descendant of Yamoshi or the evil king, maybe.
This is a nice animated scene...
If you wanted to see it that way...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. There's two assumptions in one. Super's manga at least says that it takes time to prepare, and since the talisman is a plot point in both versions, it appears like Toriyama didn't see it as being so simple.
In Japanese belief, talismans are considered to be more than just ink on paper.

So, following this argument my conclusion is that while things are a bit more roundabout than they otherwise could have been, probably because of Toriyama not being the best planner, for the most part, the situation makes sense.
And from what I could tell, Saiga isn't saying it was perfectly handled or that there weren't holes in how it was handled, just that Sigil's version of events would create more holes.

So he has enough time to decide to do it subtly... but not to realise he has manifestly strictly better options, like, I dunno.
The thing he was trying to do from the beginning.
I note that you have failed to answer that most important point, and that one of the assumptions I made - that the mafuba kills you - was one that was still held as the reason no one used it till Super. We still have no idea at what level it stops killing you and I assume it must be a pretty high level for people to not decide to use it considering how useful it can be.
