I mean, the Sun and Moon anime is good at least.
I still think the tournament will end with time running out. Since Goku already "beat" Jiren, the one thing to further drive the point would be for Universe 7 to win via having more members left before the time runs out. Jiren would in that scenario ultimately lose because of Universe 7 valuing each other in teamwork.

Losing to Alain made me quit the anime entirely. Especially after that epic shuriken attack that got built up.
Oh and for more context looking in, Alain became the rival to Ash and was literally working for Team Plasma. He's more of the darker anti-hero/anti-villain type who was focused on power and they built stuff up with him having beaten Ash prior. Oh and it was literally the finals and only time Ash has ever gone to the finals. And Ash having his own special evolution that nobody else has. All that and some more and still lost because Status Quo Is God.
Anyway, I had fun with this episode. Jiren losing his cool then showing some nobility later doesn't bother me, in that it made sense to me. The losing cool moment was an act of temper then after that, he'd been beaten and accepted his fate. He wanted to prove himself the strongest and failed and acknowledged Goku's strength in defeating him.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Best animation for any Tv episode of Dragon Ball, easily. And this is with Yamamuro's outdated stiff art holding back the animation crew, and the horrible scheduling that they still have up to the very end of the show. The movie later this year is gonna make all of this look like crayon drawings in comparison.

Watch Symphogear
x3:
The staff list
for this episode is extra packed, with fan-favorites like Shida, Tate, and Manabe on-board. Next week's final episode has Yuya Takahashi returning to Yamamuro bookending with animation supervision.
Also, like you needed to ask if Mexico's crowds
were watching this alongside us
?
At least this episode reaffirms that it's a technique like Kaioken.

Is the last episode the same length as the other episodes. Because please God know, we cannot have an epilogue be 10 minutes. Especially when something like this that needs a lot of closure. Starting with the fact that Zen'o is still in power. Hate that brat more than Jiren and Ribrianne combined
It would have been the greatest ending ever if Jiren had been instantly disqualified for attacking the stands.
Otherwise, I enjoyed that episode.
Zeno did nothing...but his job.
Can't do nothing but talk about it on the internet.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. The animation in this episode was god-tier. Easily the best animation in... Dragon Ball. Ever. Like, I think this actually surpassed Battle of Gods and Resurrection 'F'. I liked that Jiren's power-up was him breaking through his own limits, instead of just revealing more power. Seems like the strength he showed after Toppo was eliminated was actually his maximum since he didn't power up between then and now. I also loved U7's speech about Goku believing in others and Goku finishing the speech. I liked Jiren having a bit of a breakdown and shooting at the stands, and while I think the Grand Priest should've mentioned something about it, I thought it worked well.
I also think some people are missing that the important line isn't Jiren being honorable when he's just about to eliminate Goku, the important line is Goku reading Jiren like a book beforehand and recognizing that he totally is starting to realize the power of trust and friendship, which is what prompts Jiren to calm down and take that honorable stance. I also loved that they hammered home that this was a victory for Goku, Jiren recognized and accepted his defeat and multiple people acknowledged this. It's just that Goku's body gave out at the shittiest time.
Holy crap, guys, Freeza's still in the arena. Holy crap, guys, 17's still in the arena! So it might actually come down to the clock, with an injured and exhausted Goku, Freeza, and 17 holding off a heavily injured and exhausted Jiren.
Finally, here's something I've been wondering for a while: what if the person who gets nominated as the MVP isn't from a universe that still exists or one of the final fighters? What if the Zenos just decide that Hit had the coolest looking power and he should be the MVP who gets the wish?
I will say, the animation was excellent, and I'm actually hopeful for next episode. It looks like Jiren's stamina is crumbling which might give 17 and Freeza a fighting chance.
This ep was a lot better than I thought it would be.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"

So I just watched it.
I feel like this is a 'have their cake and eat it too moment. Goku technically wins by virtue of putting Jiren down and being a moment away from just knocking him out, but they're still gonna have Jiren knock him, Frieza and 17 out next episode, because subverting expectations means doing the same damn thing every time''.
Well, I'm curious to see how the manga does it.
One Strip! One Strip!
