Those spoilers were vague, and seemed to describe the episodes' events. Jiren seemingly knocks Goku off the stage, but then a surprise blast from Freeza comes in.
They never said that Freeza would ring out Jiren (the spoilers made it sound like things weren't over) and it also sounded like Goku would still be in, at the time. I was a bit suspicious.
When is Kakarotto gonna save those dinosaurs?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. This line stood out for me.
Beerus:" But Goku won. He won. That's undeniable." Namely because nothing provoked him or said anything about Goku losing. The first two line by themselves would have made him sore about losing, but the last line means he's prioritizing Goku win/loss record over his universe and himself being destroyed. It was like Toei predicted the fan rage and had to reassure people that Goku totally won that match

In Pokemon, Ash's goal in the anime is constantly to win a Pokemon League tournament. In the X & Y arc, it looked like he might actually pull it off, and fans were pulling hard for him to win, because they felt he deserved a win at this point.
Then some other guy comes out of nowhere with a team full of Legendaries and super-overpowered Pokemon and takes the win. Fans were livid. I don't even watch the Pokemon anime and I heard all this quite clearly.

Guys, didn't I just say I don't actually watch the Pokemon anime? Sorry for getting two different League fights mixed up.

I don't know. The fact that Jiren had to give up when he could have just won anyway takes the steam out of the win. Like I guess you could say Goku won the moral victory but still.
This song needs more love.![]()

the Person Ash lost to was the Protagonist of his own Anime specials. Major difference from the character he lost to back in Daimond and Pearl that just had legendaries outta nowhere.
Oh, you're referring to the anime.
Yeah, that was complete bullshit. At least in D+P there was the salve of Ash beating Paul before in probably the best anime pokemon battle ever. In X+Y they actually went to the lengths of getting back the writers of the very poorly received BW anime to make him lose to Alain. after a season clearly leading to him winning, in the mother of all cockblocks that basically permanently destroyed any hope in the Pokemon anime going forward.
Just... the way the friggin Charizard sways a second before Greninja goes down, it's heartbreaking.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"

I'm going to admit, I laughed when they showed that 17 was alive. Because of course he is. 17 gets to have a heroic sacrifice and continue to fight. My main curiosity is what is this ace up their sleeve that Goku mentions in the NEP.
