Well it was prevent them from getting the dragon balls, then prevent everyone from dying. Nappa lost because he died lol.

[up] Did every one on Earth die? That is what I meant.

I mean, the point of that was to save the Earth, and they did. Everyone who was there (besides Gohan) did so willingly, knowing the risks.

The dragon balls were already used up, so he didn't prevent that either.

He did manage to save his son and his best friend...and a fat guy.

And everyone else on the planet that Nappa didn't kill.

Didn't save that city.

Wait a second.

I don't think they wished back that city either did they?

Not that I'm aware of.

Recently I've been thinking of how anyone Vegeta killed because Goku decided to let him go would be on his (and Krillin's too, I guess) head, and I realized the only innocent people he had time to kill were in that one Namekian village. The one that as far as we know, never got wished back.

It would have been mildly interested to see Goku and/or Krillin confronted with that in some way.

Given that Moori seemingly removed basically all restrictions on the Namekian balls he probably just wished them back offscreen.

There was also those people he killed during his fight with 18. [lol]

I was mentioning this in another forum, but I did find it odd how Goku tends to get singled out for his questionable morality when, quite frankly, it's kind of a shared issue in-universe. Everyone kind of easily forgived Vegeta for slaughtering a bunch of people during the Buu Saga. tongue

Hell Bulma went and shacked up with the dude that was sort of responsible for her off-and-on boyfriend getting killed. tongue

When it comes to Vegeta, Goku was pretty much the only who could say shit. The thing about criticizing a dude for murder is that you need to be fairly murder proof or pretty sure he won't murder you.

I mean, Piccolo and Tien made it pretty clear what they thought about him. Didn't do anything though, because androids more important, I guess. Everyone else sort of just settled in quite easily with him being around.

Though, Krillin and Gohan already sort of got used to him on Namek, and Gohan even seemed to warm up to him a bit.

Pretty much everyone in Dragon Ball is either an unrepentant criminal, a jerkass, a coward or all of them at the same time. It also says somehting about Goku who is more or less merciful to the various antagonists with a few exceptions.

Well 17's reaction to universal obliteration was a blase "Shit happens, nothing you can do about it."

Though Future Trunks averts that.

So much for caring about the fate of the universe, sometimes I wonder if the Dragon Ball Super anime is nihilistic or was inspired by Kurt Vonnegut's "so it goes" phrase?

Gohand killing Cell is cool and all...but why?

"But I'm Perfect!"

"This can't be, I'm Perfect Cell!"

The latter sounds pretty lame death wise.

Yup, that whole fight was filler.

You know how you can tell, because Vegeta leaves after that fight and then is right back with everyone in the next episode, and Gohan even thanks him (for suggesting to use the Dragon Balls) after said fight lol.

Possibly also Gohan just doesn't recognize abusive behavior anymore.
