It is hard to generalise, but inconsistent writing (not just in power), poor characterizations/flanderization, a general feeling of things being handled differently to the original (I'd need to get more specific, but the overuse of 'iconic' techniques is one), lots of rehashing/repetition of iconic moments, illogical nostalgia pandering, poor cast choice, poor cast usage, refusal to age characters, lots of filler/inconsequential scenes, cheap twists, tone dissonance, pacing issues, shilling certain characters too hard, power escalation issues, inappropriate plot structure, introducing many shallow/unlikeable characters...
That's off the top of my head.

It's subjective whether the show gets worse, keep watching if it currently appeals to you enough. If you hadn't heard it gets worse, would you still be thinking of dropping it?
Also, there's the Super kanga which is much shorter and quicker to read. You could switch to that and decide if you liked that enough to resume the anima - they keep the major plot points pretty similar so if you're okay with the ending you'll probably be okay with the biggest problem.
I'd say the problem with the show is that it wants to evoke nostalgia for the old series but doesn't know how to do it well consistently. Some moments are really great (look at, say, the Piccolo/Gohan fight in the TOP) and others are not (as Saiga mentioned, an overreliance on iconic techniques).
Honestly I think if they doubled down on the slice of life atmosphere it would be a lot better. Stuff like the Baseball episode (which is probably going down as one of the iconic DB filler eps). That's what Super does best, fun and a sense of family, not big high-stakes battles.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Gonna put it out there... I don't mind the Future Trunks/Future Mai pairing. It's okay. The KT/KM pairing is... weird. I definitely think a lot of hate for all of that is overblown.
I meant it has great nostalgic moments.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Isn't Mai twice his age in terms of actual living experience? And isn't he a teenager? That's kind of weird.
Forever liveblogging the Avengersthe baseball episode is definitely one of the best filler episodes ever
if not the best of all of Super
I couldn't care less about Trunks/Mai. It's kinda weird because she's actually an adult woman and Trunks is like 12, but whatever.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI mean, the power scaling in Super is all over the place. Heck, Krillin had a Kamehameha struggle with Goku, is Krillin God level?
It has Gohan taking the hit for him and a cameo from Nail and Kami. What more do you want?

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"I'm not sure how character pecking orders work with love interests who tend to be less than well developed before being dangled in front of a male character
Bulma and Vegeta are the weird exception to that
Forever liveblogging the Avengers

Dragging things out, stupid endings, and inconsistent power levels.
